West's P. O. V

The plan at first was running quite smoothly, and everything was falling into place. The only dominant issue was my mother who hadn't fallen asleep yet.

She took her pills which would make her sleep in nothing less than thirty minutes.

But it seems like my mother was a step ahead of me, we've been watching this anime for an hour now, and her eyes are fully awake.

So much for getting alone time with Chirper today, at this rate, am sure am going to fall asleep instead.

Suddenly I felt a weight on my shoulder, it took me by surprise, my chest burned when I was able to make out that it was Chirper perched on my shoulder.

She had fallen asleep already!.

"West dear, she's asleep, I think you should carry her to the guest room." Mom voiced out, with a hard to read tone.

I obliged, I displaced myself from the position I was in, laid mom on her favorite pillow, and covered her with her anime themed blanket.
