Yumi

The blood seeping out from Keiko's wound slid down Yumi's back. The shorter girl's body hung limp on Yumi's shoulders, as she'd gone unconscious a little while ago. Her robes were already uncomfortably wet thanks to the number of demons she'd defeated, whose guts often ended up falling over her, and yet, the liquid running down her robes now made Yumi feel anxious. 

I don't have the time nor the space to heal her,  Yumi thought as she rounded the next corner.  We need a stronger mage. 

The reinforcements that had come out once the group of soldiers had reached the palace area were doing a decent enough job of holding the demons back, which Yumi decided gave her the opening she needed to get Keiko to safety.
