During the Battle of Onyx

All around her, it looked as though the grey city had been painted red and violet. Blood covered so much of the street by this point that Kaori feared she might slip. Equally as likely was the possibility that she would trip on a body. Human and demonic corpses alike littered the streets. Kaori's mechanical arm was beginning to feel heavy thanks to how much use it had seen so far. 

And yet, she knew the worst was still to come. That one beast of a Nightmare was still lurking somewhere, and, honestly, Kaori wasn't sure they'd be able to take it out. As she worried about that, however, she still had to contend with the lesser demons. 

In the middle of that all, something happened. At one point, while Ash was busy tearing through several enemies at once with a prowess Kaori would be proud of were she not quite this terrified, she spotted someone.
