One Piece: Rise of Achilles (One Piece Fanfiction)

Greetings, my name is Dexter.

I was just an ordinary 22 year old, freshly graduated from college.

Then I died.

I ended up sleeping with the fishes, walking into the light, meeting the grim reaper from Family Guy.

Whatever you want to call it my life ended.

I was walking home one night from work when a thunderstorm rolled in, and then out of nowhere a lighting bolt came out of the sky and struck me.

Killing me instantly.

Which sucks ass, let me tell you.

My life was just starting, and I had so many things I wanted to do.

Particularly I wanted to see the end of Danmachi and One Piece, since I have a huge love for things anime, manga, and light novel related.

However now none of that will happen.

Little did I know though that my death was just the beginning of an even greater adventure for me.

Floating as nothing but a white soul orb in an entirely white space I find myself face-to-face with a humanoid figure.

I say figure because while the thing in front of me looks like a human being they have no defining features at all, save for a mouth and a black outline surrounding their entire body.

Wait.

Taking a closer look at the thing in front of me I realize it looks exactly like The Truth from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Which is both cool and highly disturbing as well.

As I wrapped my head around this information the figure suddenly put a giant grin on its face. Which if I still had a body, would've sent a shiver racing down my spine.

"No need to fear, I'm not going to hurt you." It said.

Which doesn't make me feel any better at all.

"Actually congratulations are in ordinary. For you soul number 600,000,000,069 have been selected to undergo the process of reincarnation." Truth told me.

Wait, what?

I'm about to be reincarnated like those protagonist from isekai novels and online webnovels and fanfictions I used to read back when I was alive.

"Now, let's begin." It said. "Also fair warning, everything is completely random and once a choice has been locked in there will be no changes. So you better hope your luck is good. Otherwise..."

Truth trailed off, showing another huge grin on its face.

It then snapped its fingers and a giant slot machine of all things appeared right at its side. Truth then pulled the lever situated next to it and the machine began spinning.

Until after about five minutes it came to a stop, and the world I was going to be reincarnated into appeared on the machine before me.

Of all the world's I could've gotten reincarnated into it is one I know quite well.'

"Ok, your world has been selected." Truth told me. "Now time for the second spin." It said.

Second spin?

"I can guess what you're thinking." It said, still grinning. "Yes, you get a second spin. But as I said before once choices have been locked in there will be no changes. This second spin is to determine your character template. It's a thing reincarnators like you are given to help you survive in your new world's. Also if you're wondering your memories of your previous life will remain intact. Now then, time for the second spin!" Truth said with glee.

It then pulled the lever of the slot machine again.

Then just like last time five minutes passed before it came to a stop. Revealing to me my character template that would help me survive in the world of One Piece

Fuck yeah!

Looks like I have some pretty amazing luck.

Since now I will become Achilles from the Fate Franchise. He's a total badass with several amazing skills.

Being sent to the world of One Piece as him, I know I will be just fine.

"Looks like you've got some good luck." Truth told me. "Well that's all for the selections." It said. "Also brace yourself, this is going to hurt a lot."

I didn't understand what truth meant until a second later.

When I felt a pain like I had never felt before course through my ever soul.

If I had a mouth I would be screaming at the top of my lungs right now.

But just as quickly as the pain began it ended, and when it did I found myself with limbs and a body again.

As soon as I did so a mirror literally appeared in front of my face and I was able to glimpse my new appearance.

That of a child Achilles.

"Well then, time for you to be on your way." Truth said. "Good luck, and do try not to end up back here too soon." It said.

It then snapped its fingers and I was engulfed in a pillar of light.

The passage to my new life in the world of One Piece.
