The butler – Alvin appeared from behind the door and offered politely to his very tired-looking master.

"Very well, Alvin. And thanks for your concern." Thomas said, without glancing at Alvin.

"Actually, there are other people who care about you too, Thomas. But as usual, you don't care, do you?"

Thomas straightened his face and saw his wife who had suddenly appeared from behind the door.

Emma walked casually past Alvin who was also surprised by her presence.

"Good evening, Mrs. Emma. I'm glad you are back," greet Alvin politely.
