Meeting Newt

They were standing at one end of a very long and splendid hall with a highly polished, dark wood floor. The peacock-blue ceiling was inlaid with gleaming golden symbols that were continually moving and changing like some enormous heavenly notice board. The walls on each side were panelled in shiny dark wood and had many gilded fireplaces set into them. Every few seconds a witch or wizard would emerge from one of the left-hand fireplaces with a soft whoosh; on the right-hand side, short queues of wizards were forming before each fireplace, waiting to depart.

Halfway into the Atrium was the Fountain of Magical Brethren. The fountain featured golden statues of a wizard, a witch, a centaur, a goblin, and a house-elf, all which spouted water from various locales into the pool of water below, and each of the last three of which was shown in some manner basking in the generosity, wisdom and apparent superiority of wizardkind.

Hope frowned and said in low tone"I like America better, I mean the purblood bigotry is too much here."

Everyone nodded, while Alex whispered to her"It seems they are starting the awarding ceremony."

They saw people gathering at a podium with Minister giving a boring speech and next to him was wrinkly old, but tall wizard (6'1"), with white hair and hazel eyes.At age 29, even though he gave off the appearance of a slight, awkward man.His attire included a blue coat, brown vest, white shirt, bow tie, dark brown trousers with a wand holster, and brown boots.He also had a Hufflepuff scarf around his neck.

The minister with smile said"So I present Mr.Newt Scamander with Order of Merlin first class in recognition of his services to the study of magical beasts, Magizoology"

The Order of Merlin consisted of a "handsome" golden medal which hung on a coloured ribbon indicating its clas

There were three different classes of Order of Merlin that were awarded:

First Class: Awarded for "acts of outstanding bravery or distinction" in magic. The colour of the ribbon for this class was green, which was believed to represent Merlin's Hogwarts house, Slytherin.

Second Class: Awarded for "achievement or endeavour beyond the ordinary." The colour of the ribbon for this class was purple.

Third Class: Awarded to individuals who "have made a contribution to our store of knowledge or entertainment." The colour of the ribbon for this class was white.

Newt took the golden medal and awkwardly said"Thank you, Minister."

Hope and Alex saw even the Minister found the whole atmosphere to be awkward.Since he quickly sped the whole thing and went back.

Newt Scamner looked at the crowd, awkwardly smiling as they applauded, though one who knew her well might have detected a hosu ncomfortable tinge to her expression.

Thankfully his wife Tina and brother Theseus seems to be helping him.

The applause followed this response, and Newt answered more of the standard questions ("Did you find any new magical creatures?") with his standard responses ("It will be a surprise).

Most of the people already had the Fanstastic Beasts and where to find them, and had brought it along for his signature, and every single one bought the new updated book.All in all, a very satisfying event.

Davina was the one to go for the signature, since Hope and Alex were in disguise of being her cousins.

Davina with Kol, Hope and Alex by her side got the signature, while Newt asked"So who should I address this too?"

Davina replied"Davina Mikaelson.We are big fan of your work."

Newt,Theseus and Tina recognized the name,mainly Tina.

Newt broke from his daze state and said with slight excitement "I remember you family has been helping the magical creatures reserves around the world.I am very thankful for your generous support"

Kol was the one to speak up"We did out duty, after all magical creatures are part of out world, so we can't let them die out."

Newt gave genuine smile and muttered"If only more followed that line of thought."

Davina then gave an invite and said"You can visit Mikaelson manor on day,since we have been working on creating a sanctuary for all thr magical creatures we rescued."

Newt smiled and replied"I will be delighted too."

Alex, Hope, Kol and Davina soon parted ways, while Theseus Scamander whispered to Newt and Tina"Why are they here?"

Tina shook her head and replied"I don't know."

Newt was confused and asked"What are you talking about?"

Theseus answered"Mikaelsons are well known wizarding family,they are said to have shady background."

Tina scoffed and said"That is bullshit, they are grey family."she gesture towards Elijah and continued"From what I heard the one in the suit is Elijah Mikaelson is responsible for helping muggleborns and there family escape to America."

Theseus confused and asked"Why did I not hear about this?"

Tina frowned and replied"Because here no one cares about muggleborns suddenly disappearing, some though they are going to back to No man world to escape Volrmort.But reality is they have escaped from Britian and seems to have a new home and jobs secured.I only found out from Seraphina."

Tina only got information from former minister Seraphina Picquery.

Theseus knew blood purity propaganda was getting more out of control.While Newt who was silent and heard everything questioned"Do they are not hear to support Voldemort?"

Tina shook her head and replied"I don't think so. Added to the fact they have been doing more good than Dumbledore ever did."

Theseus absent mindly nodded his head and Newt winced hearing about Dumbledore.It was rocky subject, since over the years with attacks from Voldmort.

Dumbledore seems to be very passive about the whole thing,he heard a lot of Voldemorts recruits are purebloods and they arw recruited from the school.

Both Theseus and Newt had a feeling Dumbledore knew more about Voldmort than he let on.But they probably never get anything out of the man, since Dumbledore kept every information close to his chest.
