Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The days at school continued to pass normally as I waited for the day when delegations from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang would come to Hogwarts with their students.
But until that day arrived, I continued to participate in classes like any other student, acting normally while learning more about magic. However, I could only have this normal life inside a classroom, since outside of them my life was not as simple and peaceful as that.
Whenever I walked the corridors or went somewhere in the castle I could feel many eyes on me, in addition to uncomfortable whispers from the other students.
I thought that as the days went by, the gossip and rumors about me would subside, but it seems that this was not the case.
In fact the opposite happened, as the other students became even more cautious with me, with their creativity to create rumors increasing as well.
And the reason for this was that in DADA classes I was still demonstrating my extensive knowledge of the dark arts, which seemed to have confirmed the rumor that I was a dark wizard who was doing hidden studies and experiments at Hogwarts.
I could have tried not to stand out so much in class, but it seems that from my first DADA class Moody took a personal interest in me, and because of that he started asking me a lot of deep and complex questions in every class.
And with each correct answer and each explanation I gave him, he got even more excited, and I knew that I might have answered some questions wrong on purpose, but that wouldn't do much good.
The questions he asked me were complex and a little difficult, especially for someone in my year, but they were nothing compared to the questions he asked us about Unforgivable Curses in our first class.
And knowing that, I didn't see the point in trying to answer his questions incorrectly, since it didn't make sense for me to know so much about the Unforgivables but not know about other curses.
In fact, it would be even weirder if my advanced knowledge was just about Unforgivable Curses.
But now because of that I have to be considered Moody's 'favorite student' who knows almost everything about the dark arts and dark magic.
And again I cursed myself internally for not knowing how to control my mouth in my first class, since now I had to endure the looks and feelings of fear and caution from my classmates.
The only thing that could be considered 'good' about this whole situation is that now some Slytherins seemed to be acting friendlier towards me.
Some seemed to have changed their attitude because of fear, and others because they found a companion who also 'admired' and was 'passionate' for the dark arts.
And I made a point of keeping my distance from those who belonged to the latter group, remembering their faces and names to add to my mental list of 'possible future Death Eaters'.
But between friendly Slytherins, becoming a Dark wizard, and a crazy Death Eater taking an interest in me, I could still say that my days at school were pretty quiet compared to the days to come.

-DADA's Classroom-
"Well, I already explained to you how some curses work and gave you some tips on the best ways to avoid being hit by them, however these tips were for offensive and flashy curses" Moody started to say to us, walking back and forth in front of his desk while his magical eye roamed the room and the students.
"There are many curses that are more subtle, and you don't realize you've been hit by one and are under it until it's too late."
Pausing, Moody turned to us, "And you've seen one of these curses before, and it's the worst of them all, also being one of the strongest... And I'm talking about the Imperius Curse"
And as soon as he said that some of the students who still remembered his demonstration in our first class grimaced, with Davis being the most affected.
"I'm sure you've already heard from your colleagues what lesson I'm going to teach you in this class, but I'm going to say it anyway." Moody said, taking out his wand and staring at us, and I could feel a faint satisfaction coming from him.
"In this class I'm going to cast the Imperius Curse on all of you so you'll know what it feels like to be under this spell, as well as build resistance against it"
And as soon as he finished speaking Lily held up her hand.
"Professor Moody, I read that being under the Imperius Curse for a prolonged time can cause severe mental damage to the victim, is that true?" the little girl asked.
"Oh, looks like someone else has been studying for my classes" Moody said, giving Lily a satisfied nod, "And to your question Miss Moon, yes, that's true."
"So this lesson is not going to be dangerous for us?" Anthony asked worriedly.
"Bullshit" Moody said dismissively, "As it is written in the book Miss Moon read, the curse only causes severe damage if the person is under the curse's effect for a long time, and that time would be anywhere from weeks to months, and in this class you will be under the effect of the curse for a maximum of 20 seconds"
"Oh, good" Anthony said in relief, and he might have been the only one to say something, but I could feel the relief coming from almost everyone in the classroom.
"Any more questions?" Moody asked looking at us, and seeing that no one had another question he decided to get on with the lesson.
"Fine" he said, "Then let's get started with the lesson. As soon as I call your name you will rise and step forward, and then I will cast the curse on you... And remember to try to resist my commands as much as you can with all your will power."
And what followed shortly thereafter was an interesting and even comical lesson, with Moody cursing student after student, ordering them to do everything from dancing to imitating a seagull.
Some of my classmates tried to resist the curse, with some standing still for about 2 seconds before obeying Moody while others moved slowly, trying to regain control of their body, but in the end they all gave in.
And among all of them, the ones that showed a stronger will than most, managing to resist even more were Anthony, something that surprised me, Greengrass, and Malfoy.
And of these three, the most impressive was Malfoy, who managed to resist for 4 seconds before starting to play an invisible violin.
But after all my classmates, it was finally my turn, with me being the last to be called, probably something planned by Moody.
When my name was called all eyes fell on me, and I could feel a disconcerting excitement coming from Moody.
But knowing there wasn't much I could do in this situation, I got up, also a little curious as to what it would be like to be under the Imperius Curse.
Taking a step forward I came face to face with Moody, standing still as I waited for him to cast the curse.
And showing that he wasn't in the mood to wait he immediately cast the curse on me.
"{Imperius}" Moody said, waving his wand, and I could feel the invisible curse exiting his wand and heading towards me.
And as soon as the curse hit me I felt a short, fleeting lightness in my mind, but quickly that feeling disappeared.
I then stood there staring at Moody, who looked at me confused as I waited for him to try to control me.
'Is this what it feels like to be under the Imperius Curse?' I wondered, looking down at myself, 'Strange. I don't feel anything and I don't feel different'
"Impressive" Moody said, snapping me out of my thoughts and making me look at him.
And looking at him I could see his amazed look, "You completely ignored the curse... In fact it didn't even have an effect on you" he said.
'Huh? So that's why I didn't feel him in my mind trying to control me?' I wondered.
'Well, maybe it's because my mind is already very well trained against these mental invasions because of the Horcruxes' I theorized, grimacing at the memories that came to my mind.
But unaware of my thoughts Moody turned to the class.
"You've just witnessed an impressive feat. He just threw the curse away like it was nothing, something even some well-trained Aurors can't do!" he said, before looking back at me.
"Congratulations son, I was right to say that you would be an interesting student to teach" he told me, with a half smile, "You can go back to your seat"
"Thank you teacher" I said, sitting up.
And looking to the side I could see Terry staring at me dryly.
"Couldn't you be a little more normal?" he asked me.
"Bitch, I'm Ethan Night" I huffed, "And besides everyone knows that normal isn't a word that makes it into the dictionary of people in the wizarding world"
"Well... You have a point"
End.
