-Nights' House - Kitchen-
"Does Mr. Flitwick like Lasagna?" my mom asked me, washing some vegetables.
"Probably" I shrugged, sitting in a chair while reading a book, using wandless magic to prepare the salad, "I don't know any living thing that doesn't like lasagna"
"Well... what about your cousin Chuck?" my dad asked, making the lasangna pasta with Cele, who was laughing as she messed with the flour.
"I don't know any rational living being that doesn't like lasagna" I corrected myself, and my dad rolled his eyes, "Besides, your cooking is great Mom, Professor Flitwick will like anything you make"
"Well I hope so," my mom said. She then looked at the clock on the kitchen wall, "Mr. Flitwick should be on his way here by now"
"Hmm" I looked at the clock too, "Probably"
The reason my family was looking forward to Professor Flitwick's visit was because I invited him to our house for lunch, wanting to ask his permission as one of my Magical Guardians to publish my books in the wizarding world.
I could have invited the Headmaster, but he's probably too busy, mostly because of Sirius' escape, so I decided to invite my hyperactive half-goblin teacher.
And unsurprisingly Professor Flitwick gladly accepted the invitation, and from his letter I could tell he was very excited to have lunch with a Muggle family.
'Professor McGonagall has already been here, and now Professor Flitwick. Maybe next year I'll invite Professor Sprout to dinner and Professor Snape to our family movie night' I thought, huffing at the thought.
And somewhere in Spinner's End a human bat felt an overwhelming urge to take points out of Ravenclaw.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Some time later...-
*Knock! Knock!*
"Hmm, that's probably Mr. Flitwick," my dad said, and I got up to answer the door, already feeling the professor's magic on the other side.
Opening the door I saw a small man wearing a casual suit, and if anyone looked they would think he was just a human with dwarfism, as his goblin appearance was nowhere to be seen.
"Hi Professor" I said to him, stepping to the side and inviting him in, "A little facial transfiguration I suppose"
"Hello Ethan, and yes" he said with a small smile on his face, the transfiguration fading as he walked through the door, "I may not be as good as Minerva, but I received an Outstanding in Transfiguration on my NEWT"
"Of that I have no doubt" I commented smiling slightly, seeing my parents come towards us.
"Hello, I'm Filius Flitwick, and I'm sorry, I would have rung the bell, but as you can see, my size didn't allow me to do that" Professor Flitwick joked.
"Maybe next time I'll leave a stool in front of the door for you to climb on," I joked back, and Professor Flitwick chuckled.
"Don't worry about it" my mom waved her hand nonchalantly, "And hello Mr. Flitwick, I'm Sarah, Ethan's mom" my mom said, greeting Professor Flitwick.
"And I'm Joshua, his dad, nice to meet you" my dad said smiling, holding out his hand for Professor Flitwick to shake.
"Well, it's an honor to meet the parents of one of the best students I've ever had the pleasure of teaching. In fact, he may very well be the best student I've ever taught" Professor Flitwick said happily as he shook my father's hand, and I looked away in embarrassment, which amused my parents, "And please call me Filius"
After greeting my parents, we heard a cute little voice speak.
"Goblin?" Cele said confused, looking at Professor Flitwick's slightly pointed ears.
"Oh, and who is this adorable little girl?" Professor Flitwick asked, not taking offense at Cele's questioning.
And I, who was seeing him and Cele staring at each other, had to hold back my laughter, as they were both the same height, making the scene a little comical.
"That's my little sister I told you about" I said, approaching Cele and ruffling her hair as she turned to me with a cute pout.
"Oh, I remember" Professor Flitwick said. He then extended his small hand to Cele, "Hello Cele, I'm Filius, your brother's Charms teacher"
"Hmm, Hi, I'm Cele," she said, squeezing his hand. She then looked at him for a moment, turned to me, and after a moment of consideration turned to him again, "The Princess of Unicorns" she proclaimed proudly.
"I see... It's a pleasure to meet you Princess of Unicorns" Professor Flitwick said with an amused smile.
After the greetings I took Professor Flitwick into the living room, where he sat on the sofa opposite me.
"So Ethan, from what I read in your letter you need my permission to publish your books in the wizarding world, right?" he said, and I nodded in affirmation, "Well, I can give you permission, but first I'd like you to answer a question of mine."
"What question?" I asked curiously.
"Oh, it's no big deal, I'd just like to know why you never mentioned those books to me," he said, and I blinked as I looked at him.
...
...
...
"Actually, I think I just forgot," I said, looking away.
"But you told Minerva, and even gave her some of your books as a gift," Professor Flitwick said, and from his emotions I could tell he was upset.
"Err... Professor, are you by any chance jealous?" I asked, and it was Professor Flitwick's turn to look away.
"I don't know what you're talking about"
"Uhm," I said, unconvinced, "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I can give you my books as a gift this Christmas."
"With autographs?" he asked hopefully.
"With autographs" I agreed.
"Perfect" he said smiling happily, "Now Minerva won't be able to show off for having those books anymore, hehe" he whispered softly, but I heard him.
'Huh? Why I feel like this won't end up being good for me?' I wondered, sweating as I looked strangely at the professor in front of me.
Ignoring that feeling I then used wandless magic to summon the papers Professor Flitwick had to sign, and he wasn't even surprised at my demonstration and mastery of wandless magic.
With the permission papers in front of him, Professor Flitwick happily signed them without even reading them, showing his confidence in me.
'Well, that was quick' I thought, putting the papers in an envelope that I would send to Ted.
After that, Professor Flitwick and I had a little chat about my books and about what he's going to teach us this year, before my mom called us to lunch.

-Kitchen-
"This food is amazing, Sarah" Professor Flitwick said after eating a piece of the lasangna, with a look of wonder in his eyes.
"Thanks" my mom said a little relieved, "But I didn't make this lasagna by myself, Ethan helped me too"
With that Professor Flitwick turned to me in surprise.
"Can you cook?!" he asked in surprise.
"Why do you look so surprised?" I asked defensively.
"It's just that I thought your talents were limited to flying, magic and pranks. I wasn't expecting you to be good at other things either," Professor Flitwick said, looking at me with analytical eyes, and I felt my eye twitch.
"Well, he's also good at gardening, martial arts, and investing," my mom said, putting her finger to her chin as she thought.
"And he studied a little biology with me," my dad added.
"And he studied law with me, as well as a little French," my mom continued, and I held my tongue not to say that I actually learned French myself.
"Big brother is also really good with animals," Cele said, deciding to add her two Knuts to the conversation.
"Oh, yes" my dad nodded, "And on top of that he also has a great talent for getting into trouble"
"And an even greater talent for making trouble," my mom said.
And as they kept adding more things to my talent list, Professor Flitwick just looked at them with curiosity and wonder.
And meanwhile I felt like hitting my head on the table.
'Now I don't even know if they are praising me or not' I thought.

-At Night – My Room-
The rest of the day passed quickly, with Professor Flitwick and my family chatting and joking in the meantime, where he showed some advanced spells to entertain my family.
Well, he said it was to entertain us, but I knew it was just him wanting to show off a little.
But moving on. After some more conversation Professor Flitwick took his leave, saying that it was getting late and that he still had things to attend to at Hogwarts.
But before he left, he didn't forget to tell me that he would be looking forward to my books being published in the wizarding world.
And I knew from his emotions that he really meant it.
After that, I spent the rest of the day with my parents and Cele, and after dinner and a movie with my family I went to my room.
Strangely, even though I didn't do anything tiring or stressful today, I still felt my body getting really tired.
For someone with as much energy as me, getting so tired without even doing anything tiring was strange, but I couldn't think about it too much, because as soon as I lay down in my bed, sleep overtook me, and I immediately blacked out.
End.

(End AN: Now in my country it's election year for the new president, and it's very sad to see friends and family fighting over political opinions.
Sigh... Everything would be easier if the elections were decided in a UNO match.)
