Chapter 85

During the victory celebration, the Dwarves were having drinking contests with the other soldiers, who stood no chance at winning since the dwarves are better drinker's than them. But still they tried to defeat the dwarves many times and lost every time.

Some soldiers couldn't even handle the Dwarven wine since it was too strong for them, causing some to get drunk almost instantly after drinking a sip.

To the Dwarves, the Wine of the other two armies were weak compared to theirs and couldn't even get them drunk after having multiple drinks.

Prince Oberyn was the only one who was able to compete with the Dwarves. He had offered some Dornish Wine to the Dwarves as he thought that it would taste better that what then what the Tyrell's were giving them.

After trying it, the Dwarves actually liked the Wine and had asked for more since it was so good. But Prince Oberyn didn't bring that much with him and after telling the Dwarves, especially Dáin they wanted to head to Dorne right now and get some more Wine.

But first they had a job to do, and only after it was completed could they get more of that Wine.

After 2 weeks of resting at Highgarden Dáin and his army followed by the Martell army would head for Kingslanding. Dáin had already received his order's from Maximus after they won the battle to rest for two weeks then head to Kingslanding where he will meet them and begin the siege.

Of course The Dornish soldiers were coming as well since they had a personal vendetta against the Lannister's.

Two weeks ago, at Winterfell, Maximus was informed of their victory at Highgarden which he had no doubt that they would win. So he had the army rest at Highgarden for two weeks before they would head to their next target, which would be Kingslanding.

Maximus already had the Martell's and House Tyrell on their side, making the Southern part of the Continent basically secured, and the next major target that he could take was Kingslanding.

It also would crown him as King of the Seven Kingdoms, making him the ruler of all the Kingdoms and anybody who refuses to swear fealty will be branded as rebels and be punished either by a long death or he would make them take the black.

But first in order to get his Imperial army to Kingslanding he must end the siege at the Twins, which would free up his army to march down the King's road where they would have to pass the castle of Darry which belonged to one of the Riverland lords who he is currently at war with.

He wouldn't have time to waste on a long siege of another castle, so if the castle doesn't submit, then he might have to burn it to the ground to save some time.

Maximus had already contacted Julius and told him to blockade the port of Kingslanding and prepare to land soldiers at the port on his command.

After that he flew toward the Twins where he would quickly end that siege, freeing up his Imperial army.

Once he arrived at the Twins, he had both Balerion and Caraxes (which were the names of the first two dragons he had gotten) to Burn, start attacking the castle. He also ordered the Great Eagle's to start attacking as well.

The soldiers tried to hide behind the wall, but they were still burned to death by the dragon's fire.

Then they tried to shoot arrows at the dragon, but the arrows bounced off of the dragon's armor, and they continued their rampage on the castle.

The Imperial army which was lined up in front of the castle saw soldiers falling off the walls as they were on fire. Some were running around the walls on fire, waving their hands in the air like crazy as they were burned to death.

Inside the Castle it was the same thing, soldiers running around on fire, and some even jumped into the water to not get burned, but unfortunately for them, they were picked up by the Great eagle's and which dropped them from a height that they wouldn't survive from. Those that didn't get burned had tried to retreat across the bridge, but in doing so they were left wide open and were killed by the dragon's fire.

The Imperial army stood watch as the dragon's just conquered the first castle within half on hour.

And it was the same for the second Castle where the soldier's tried to hide inside the castle but the Imperial Guards had jumped off of the Great eagle's and started massacring those that were hiding in the castle.

In less than 2 hours, the Twin's were captured with no casualties on the Empire's side. Some soldier's did surrender, so the prisoners were put into the dungeons of the Twin's.

After taking the Twin's Maximus had Achilles and his man stay and defend it and reinforcements from Winterfell will arrive to help.

Maximus took the Imperial army along with Aleanna and Daenerys to go down the Kingsroad and try to pass Darry either by force or through negotiations.

The battle for Kingslanding was only a couple of weeks away.
