Chapter 33: Battle at Culver University

------------------------6/2/10, Carver University, Willowdale Virginia--------------------

Early the next morning, as Betty Ross and Bruce Banner are walking across Culver University Campus, Bruce begins to notice something is off. As he looks around, he begins to see that they are being monitored by people all around. Every time Bruce looked in their direction, they would move out of sight.

Bruce:" They're here." He says to Betty as he continues to look around. Being careful not to move his head from her direction as his eyes swivel around.

Betty:"What?" She says confused. Not knowing what was going on.

Bruce:"Go home. You've got to get as far away from me as you can, right now! Go!!" He says to her while grabbing her arms. Then he takes off running through the campus green.

As Bruce makes it through the treeline, he sees Emil Blonsky for the second time, running in his direction. Also hearing all the military trucks chasing after himself as well. Blonsky easily overtakes the other soldiers in the chase. But Bruce makes it to the Library before anyone can catch up with him. Just enough time to hide and swallow his thumb drive, protecting it from being confiscated. As he escapes through the overpass he gets cornered by soldiers on the other side who close the doors and lock him in. As Bruce turns back he realized the soldiers chasing him have caught up and did the same to his entry point. Looking around through the glass surrounding the overpass, Bruce sees he is surrounded and has snippers aimed at him. The very next moment gas canisters are launched, one after the other, through the glass walls. The overpass begins to be filled with gas. Bruce struggles to breath and takes off his button down shirt to filter the smoke. But slowly he falls to the ground using the glass walls as support, slowly passing out. That's when the glass cracks and his hand slowly turns green.

Bruce Banner Hulked out and escaped the ambush. Then there was a complete battle with the Military. Blonsky was the only one able to contend with the green giant. Bullets bouncing off his skin, and mortar shells from tanks only able to push him back while pissing him off more. Swinging around trucks like hammers onto others. Using the scrapes of those trucks and tanks as shields and weapons in his one on one fight with Blonksy. Who could only jump around and dodge every attack by an inch. Later running away towards some military trucks that drove up loaded with some kind of weapon on top. Once fired, they turned out to be sonic cannons that Hulk later destroyed using his metal scrap shields. Even after all of that, Blonsky doesn't give up. He picks up a submachine gun and keeps shooting Hulk. The Hulk then walks up to Blonsky and gives him a kick to the chest. Blonsky is sent flying and barrels into a tree. Breaking most of the bones in his body. Then a helicopter flew in while Betty was walking up to the Hulk. It begins shooting and the Hulk protects her while throwing his last shield to destroy the Black Hawk Helicopter. The Hulk grabs Betty and protects her from the ensuing explosion then jumps away with her. Taking her to a cave where they take cover from the rain. Only to transform back into Bruce Banner in the night and go to a motel with Betty in the next town in the morning.
