Chapter 10

I freeze looking through the smoke trying to determine what I should do. I sink behind the desk enough so that I can't be seen but I can see who it is. when the smoke settles I see that it's cap I make it known to him that I am in there so that he can help to keep the others out while I finish my hacking. He nods his head in acknowledgment so I get back to work on the computer. The fourth time I tried the password was correct luckily because it was my last try before the system was wiped. I start going through the files rapidly just looking at the first paragraph and putting everything that may be of use but then I realize that time is short so I just give up reading the files and download everything, I'll go through it later. since the file is so big it's going to take a while and the battle outside the room is still raging on so I decide that I'm going to kill some time and beat up some bad guys so I take and hook up my flash drive to receive information wirelessly. I go out and take out the first guy I see knocking him out easily. I take out another 20 or so men before the battle is actually over and I sneak out through the front door thanks to Natasha's help.

Iron Fist and I make our way back to my den with the drive. We reach downtown when I hear a scream of a ghoul. 'shit' was all I could think. I look at Iron Fist handing him the drive saying "go ahead of me I have something that I have to take care of that is very important" he looks at me and says "I can come with you." I shake my head saying "no this is a fight I must enter alone. this is my duty to keep New York safe from an unknown threat." he must understand what I mean because he doesn't argue. I run in the direction of the sound of this ghoul. As I get closer I hear children screaming and crying. This I very concerning because most ghouls do not normally attack people unless they are really strong and can put up a fight. I don't face many that are that strong but this will be good practice. But my thought quickly comes to a halt when I see the ghoul because it is not a ghoul but something much stronger much more evil and terrifying....this is a trap.
