Overprotective Father (2)

Next morning.

Xu Wenwen was excited and nervous for tonight. She hoped that the dinner would go smoothly without any conflict.

Xu Wenwen gone down and had breakfast with her parents. She observed Father Xu's mood.

Father Xu quietly read newspaper while eating breakfast. He then noticed Xu Wenwen staring at him.

"What's wrong, princess? Why are you not eating? Are you not feeling well? Should I call a doctor for you?"

"No. No. Daddy. I was just spacing out. Haha. Let's eat."

Seems like Father Xu didn't have any bad mood. Let's just hope his current mood will remain until tonight.

Mo Zhexi told his family about meeting his girlfriend's parent tonight.

Mother Mo was excited and happy. She told Mo Zhexi to buy present that her parents like to gain a good impression.

"Zhexi, my son. You have to behave well. I heard her father was an overprotective father. You'll have to work hard to gain his approval."

"I know, Mom. Who do you think I am? I am Mo Zhexi, the second son of the Mo family. I will succeed and be the future son-in-law of the Xu family."

Mo Zhexi patted his chest in proud. He had confidence that her parents will like him.

Mo Zhexi then ate some breakfast and went out to buy some present. After investigating for a while, he knows what he wanted to buy.

On the other hand, Xu Wenwen went to Lu Jingyi's studio and visited her.

"Wenwen, you came."

"Of course, I came. I said I will visit you. Oh, I have something to tell you."

Xu Wenwen then proceeded to tell Lu Jingyi's about tonight. Lu Jingyi chuckled as Xu Wenwen spoke her father like that.

"Why didn't you tell your family about having a boyfriend?"

"I-I thought it wasn't the right time yet. And you know my Daddy that he will be shock to know I have a boyfriend."

"I'm sure Uncle Xu was just worried you'll get trick. He means no harm. And I'm also sure Uncle Xu will accept Zhexi. He's a great guy."

"Sigh. I know. I just kept worrying that the dinner won't go smoothly."

"Don't worry. Zhexi knows what he's doing. Have faith in him."

Xu Wenwen nodded and she felt a bit relief. She then talked about how Lu Jingyi was in danger and never told her.

She still hold a grudge against her. Lu Jingyi had no choice but to listen to her compliants.

It was seven in the evening. Dinner between the Xu family and Mo Zhexi was about to start.

Mo Zhexi drove to Xu family's home and arrived on time. He was welcome by the butler of the Xu family and was led to the dining table.

"Good evening, Mr Xu, Mrs Xu and Wenwen. I'm Wenwen's boyfriend and my name is Mo Zhexi. I brought some presents and hope it was to your liking."

Mo Zhexi put on a polite smile to them and winked to Xu Wenwen who had a worried look on her face.

Mother Xu thanked Mo Zhexi and thought to herself that he is a handsome gentlemen. She had a good impression on him.

Father Xu, on the other hand, just snorted. He bought present to please him and he refused to admit that the present he bought was something he wanted a long time ago.

He had to admit. This guy had done research just to impress them and convinced that he's sincerely wanted to be with his daughter.

"Sit down, Zhexi."

Mother Xu was kind and friendly. She invited him to sit down and Mo Zhexi went straight to sit beside Xu Wenwen.

Father Xu was suppressing his anger when he saw Mo Zhexi sat beside his precious daughter.

The dinner was served and they're eating while chatting. Mostly was Father Xu asking questions to Mo Zhexi.
