ALANA'S P.OV

"You're seriously my best friend ever Jaden I love you " I said hugging him tighter. "

"You're seriously my best friend ever too Alana love you too" He hugged me back.

As we sat there lost in our thoughts suddenly my ringtone None of my business by Cher Lloyd blasted through my phone ringing ever so loudly.

I wouldn't want to be dramatic but Cher Lloyd sounded different or was it the faster racing of my heart or the fear in anticipation of what the call will bring.

Will I be happy after or will I go to bed expecting more calls to determine my fate.

Jaden quickly got up and helped me up too and as usual as we approached the phone ,we held each other's hands and took in deep breaths and then I answered the phone.

Silence silence then I finally gathered the courage to finally speak.

"Hello" I said nervously not knowing what to expect and hoping fervently it was from Black Heart and not another false alarm .

I was so tired of those .

"Is this Alana Walker " A lady asked

"Yes , this is she " I answered

"Good evening I'm Dior Snow from Black Heart and I'm glad to inform you that you've been accepted and hired as the lead interior designer of Black Heart " The voice said.

" You're required to come in at eight o'clock latest on Monday to discuss your contract . We'll be expecting you" Dior from Black Heart said .

"Thank you so much , I'll be there " I replied enthusiastically

"And just so that you know, I was rooting for you all the way Alana" Dior said through the phone .

"It was a position well deserved and I'm glad you got it" She added .

"Wow, you remember me! " I asked surprised .

"Of course I do, not everyone thinks doors are really fascinating these days , so when you meet someone who does . You remember them for the record " She said in a mocking tone making us laugh .

"Goodbye and thanks Dior see you soon" I said and hung up .

I was expecting a congratulations you've been accepted but all the same I got the call and I couldn't contain my happiness .

"Yessssss!!!! Yayyy!!!!" I screamed with joy hugging Jaden tightly almost pushing him down to the floor, again , the second time today.

"I don't want to say it but I have to " He smiled knowingly at me .

"Just let it out" I shrugged with a smile .

"I told you so " He said with a big smile .

"And I never doubted you....kinda" I said still hugging him tighter and trying my best to come into terms with the fact that I was now the lead interior designer of Black Heart Hotel one of the world's leading Hotels.

Finally my dream had come true . I was going to be able to fend for myself and my mom and she was going to be more proud of me than she already was .

Thank you God I thought , that guy was really dhope.

That night I slept over at Jaden's tossing and turning in anticipation of what working life will be like and what it will throw at me.

And hoping that I will be able to handle it well.

And also there was this feeling I was having in my gut that something big was about to happen .

Whether it was bad or good , I didn't know but all I knew was something big was about to take place or maybe it was just me scared of how work will treat me .

Yes it must be that. That must definitely be it.

MAX' P.O.V

It was Sunday and we had already shortlisted some of the people who had come for the interviews.

I had tasked my Human Resource manager and her team with that work .

By eleven pm all the calls had gone to all those who had qualified for the various positions and all those who didn't make it , I'm sure they were probably heartbroken.

Poor them.

And all those who made it were probably celebrating in one way or the other .

I was so glad Black Heart was coming back to life , it was one of the leading hotels in the world and it was one of my favorites as compared to all my other businesses .

I just couldn't wait for it to come back fully to life .

We had everything in order for the grand opening on Monday and to receive all the new employees .

But there was this feeling that I had that something was coming . Whether I liked it or yes it would come and I couldn't avoid it .

"Boss I'm leaving now". The head of Human Resource Dior said entering my office and bringing me out of my thoughts .

I checked my watch and it was already eleven thirty pm .

" Okay , thanks for coming in on a Sunday to help finalize everything " I thanked her.

"It was nothing boss" She answered .

"I'll be leaving here later so ask the security guards to close the place , I might even stay In the pent house here today " I told her while flipping through some files .

"Yes boss" She said and walked out of the place leaving me to continue my work and to think about what it was that was coming and I knew it was out of my power to stop it .
