Vengeance

Penelope choked as she fought to push Delaney's hands off her neck in vain. Although she looked delicate, her vice grip was anything but. Penelope felt her life drain by the second but just when she thought she was going to die, Delaney let go.

Penelope flopped onto the floor weakly, coughing as she tried to crawl away from Delaney.

"Death can never be enough punishment for everything you have done." Delaney closed in on her, her entire body trembling in anger. Her eyes were bloodshot as she listed off Penelope's plot. "You orchestrated the plan to marry me off to the helio so he would kill me. You made several attempts and that was not limited to sending Regina's perfume to me to make the deities lose control. What else did you do, Penelope?"

"Nothing, I promise!" Penelope croaked. She grabbed a jade hairpin to use as a weapon if Delaney got closer, making the demoness cackle.
