While Yang Tian-Xu's filled his mind with thoughts of Wang Yi-An, little did he know; trouble was stirring back at home.
The young heiress to the Tong family, Tong Yue-Yan was angry. She had the entire Tong family fortune at her toes, her father was the current mayor of City A. Yet, Lee Yin-Yin got away with assaulting her? Impossible. She paced back and forward in front of her aunt. "Unbelievable!" she chewed on her nails as she tried to suppress her emotions.
Her aunt sat in their grand villa's living room as she sips on her morning tea. Aunt Tong acted relaxed and calmed, however, she was boiling with frustration inside. Mad that Yang Tian-Xu allowed a mere singer to hurt her dearest niece. "Don't worry Yue-Yan, auntie will make sure anyone who hurts you would suffer greatly." She grinned.
"Aunty!" Tong Yue-Yan shed tears at the corner of her eyes, as she came over to Aunt Tong. "I can't even sleep last night!"
"There, there." Aunt Tong patted her niece's back as she comforted her. "Don't you worry. Today, just stay at home and rest."
Every morning at 6:00 a.m. Tong Yue-Yan would pay a visit to Grandfather Yang and join him for his morning tea, a walk in the Tian-Bo-Fu's garden. However, that morning she made a debilitated decision not to contact the Yang family. It was her subtle way of rebelling.
Grandfather Yang became accustom to have Tong Yue-Yan visit him every day at 6:00 a.m. He became worried for an entire hour, without the sight of Tong Yue-Yan. "Perhaps the child had an accident, or was she not feeling well?" He thought as he sat under the family gazebo. He called her after waiting impatiently for the child to visit him.
Tong Yue-Yan's phone rang as she cried in her aunt's arms. It was a call from Grandfather Yang, at 7:00 a.m. sharp. The aunt and niece duo sat in their living room as they awaited for the Yang family to make the first move. They smiled when they received the call from Grandfather Yang.
A tricky mind of hers as Tong Yue-Yan passed the phone to her aunt to answer. As Tong Yue-Yan smiled she said, "Auntie, can you pick it up for me?" and her aunt let out a grin on her face as she replied, "Of course."
The phone rang again for a few moments, unhurried to answer the call. Aunt Tong let the phone rang two more times in her hands before she finally answered it. She cleared her throat, and swiped the virtual button, and she pressed the speaker-mode button on the phone and she said, "Hello."
Aunt Tong flicked her hair to the side as the emotion on her face changed completely. Like she was an actress on stage, and so she immersed herself in her role as the disappointed aunt; someone of unimportant status bullied her niece.
Aunt Tong had Grandfather Yang on the speaker, so his voice was loud enough for them to hear him when he said, "Hello, Is this Yue-Yan?"
"No, this is her aunt. Is this Grandfather Yang?" Aunt Tong sounded polite, however, her eyes and expression were not the same as her voice. Her face showed an arrogant and disdain expression.
Grandfather Yang had the phone up to his ears as he smiled with a cheerful tone in his voice, "Yes, yes." and soon, he showed his concerned towards Tong Yue-Yan as he asked, "Is Yue-Yan not feeling well today?"
"Yue-Yan? How can she feel well after what happened yesterday? The poor child cried herself to sleep!" Aunt Tong sounded serious, like she was angry at the unfair treatment her niece received yesterday.
"What happened?" He asked, it was the first time he heard about such an event, Grandfather Yang became curious. The tone of Tong Yue-Yan's aunt sounded like she was angry at him.
"Our Yue-Yan is the future heiress to the Tong's family fortune, and my older brother only have this one child! Yue-Yan has plenty of suitor waiting in line for her! Who does your grandchild think he is? How dare he ignore her when that Lee Yin-Yin bullied her!?" The tone of Tong Yue-Yan's voice was getting louder and angrier as she spoke.
"Bullied?" Surprised as Grandfather Yang thought, How could Tong Yue-Yan get bullied by someone? Lee Yin-Yin? Wasn't that the name of the new famous idol? She was on tv as the most popular singer in the Country.
Grandfather Yang doesn't know what to say or do, and so he listened to Aunt Tong venting out her anger. "If it weren't for my niece's begging me not to say anything. I would have reported this incident to my older brother the moment I saw her wounds yesterday!"
Wounds? Aunt Tong made the situation sounded much worse. Tong Yue-Yan had a few scratches here and there but it was not extreme. However, to a rich spoiled girl like Tong Yue-Yan, a small cut would be the end of the world.
Grandfather Yang sat under the gazebo inside Tian-Bo-Fu's courtyard as he listened to Aunt Tong's voice on the phone. The phone was up to his ears, but he felt like the voice became distant to him as he wondered. "Who is this Lee Yin-Yin?"
Underneath the gazebo, Grandfather Yang would enjoy his casual morning tea every day, however, his mood today was less jolly than he would be any other day.
"Do not worry, and I will not let Yue-Yan suffer any hardship." Grandfather Yang responded to Tong Yue-Yan's aunt. "I will swear on my family's name I will sort this out and bring justice back to Yue-Yan. I will not let my future granddaughter-in-law suffer from any grief."
Tong Yue-Yan and her aunt smiled as they heard Grandfather Yang's voice. Then her aunt replied, "I would look forward to what kind of justice you can bring back to my niece." the call ended after a brief farewell. Ending with a huge smile on Tong Yue-Yan's face as she said to her aunt, "Did you hear what he called me? Future granddaughter-in-law!"
Moments after the call between Grandfather Yang and Aunt Tong ended, Grandfather Yang speed dial Yang Tian-Xu's cell number. The phone rang as it vibrated on the dinning table in Fung Qi-Wei's home. The phone used to be in Yang Tian-Xu's pocket until Wang Yi-An removed it and place it on the dinning table. She wanted to clean the soiled clothes, and so she emptied their pockets, and left them on the table in plain sight.
Like a regular home in the neighbourhood, with three bedrooms, Fung Qi-Wei's home wasn't grand or huge. The interior was a lot similar compared to Wang Yi-An's home. However, the only different was the third bedroom was on the main floor, instead of upstairs with the other two bedrooms.
Fung Qi-Wei and the two guests; Yang Tian-Xu and Jin Qi-Long were in the downstair bedroom. The downstair bedroom was a decent size, in the same floor as the kitchen, living room, and the front door. Every morning when Fung Qi-Wei left the bedroom, he could reach the living room in two steps. Another five steps and he'll make his way into the kitchen and dining table.
Wang Yi-An left Yang Tian-Xu and Jin Qi-Long's belonging on the table, so they could see it the moment they opened the door and walked into the living room. She left their phones and wallets in plain sight.
At 9:30 a.m, Grandfather Yang had already ended his call with Aunt Tong. He spent two-and-a-half hour listening to Aunt Tong's complaints. Grandfather Yang had only heard about the dispute between Tong Yue-Yan and Lee Yin-Yin from Aunt Tong's side of the story. However, the story told by Tong Yue-Yan's aunt made it seemed like Tong Yue-Yan was the victim, and the bully was Lee Yin-Yin.
When the call did not go through, unable to reach his grandson, Yang Tian-Xu; Grandfather Yang called Assistant Tseng.
Assistant Tseng jumped out of his seat as he saw the caller's ID. It was from the chairman. He felt his hands sweating, as he shivered uncontrollably, like his heart was about to drop out of his chest! He answered it in prompt time, without letting the phone ring again for a second time.
