Chapter 3

"You're welcome". I said while continuing my gaze as he walked through the garden to the garden. There came a time when I couldn't see him anymore, so I kept cleaning the chairs.

"I'm sorry. Welcome to the neighborhood". He said returning to where he was.

"Thank you very much". I said and smiled.

He left and I heard his friends yelling when he arrived with the ball and they kept playing.

The sky was turning black and a very cool breeze came from time to time.

I took advantage of the fact that Jess was still sleeping so I could go to the supermarket to do the shopping since I didn't have food.

I went upstairs to leave a note for Jess to tell her where I was going.

I didn't change, I went down to get my car and went straight to the supermarket with the old music that I liked listening to so much.

I loved grocery shopping, I relaxed and could spend hours looking at things I liked and learning about new products.

"Auntie, where are you?" Jess asked when I took her call.

"At the supermarket, didn't you see the note I left?" I asked as I finished collecting the last things.

"Auntie, you've been gone for almost two hours," He said as he tried to scold me, but it was a failed attempt.

"To want something?". I asked while looking at all the cans of ice cream they had.

"God, bring me the dulce de leche ice cream, please," she pleaded on the other end of the line.

"Okay honey, anything else?". I asked.

"Shall we make pizza?". Jess asked.

"Again?". I asked why we had pizza for dinner last night.

"Yes, but they are not like yours. Yours are the best". He said while trying to convince me.

"Ok dear". I said as I took the things to make the pizzas.

I finished shopping and went straight home where Jess was already waiting for me outside as the first drops of rain began to fall, in the middle of summer but sometimes very normal in England.

"A little more and you don't come". Jess said as she helped me get all the bags out of the trunk.

"Honey, I wanted to be alone for a while so I went to relax a little". I said while leaving the bags of food at home.

"I have put together some more furniture, I have had enough time and I had a lot of energy". Jess said when we entered the house and I could see the closet in the living room that was already assembled.

"Thank you, honey". I said and gave him a hug.

"I put the food and you make dinner". Jess said as she took the things out of the bags.

"It's okay". I said.

Jess loves to place things very well, she is obsessed with organization and I was not going to say no to the truth, so I save myself from eating my head where I put everything.

"I have met one of the guys who live next door". I said while preparing the table.

"What happens?". Jess asked.

"Well, very handsome." Said.

"Make him one of your wonderful pizzas". Jess said.

" Seriously?" I asked.

"Yes auntie, then your new neighbors are handsome." He said as he continued to post.

Once the three pizzas were made, one for us and two, I went straight to my new neighbors' house. I got really nervous because I hate talking to people I don't know. I called and waited for them to open.
