Chapter 87: Helping Varys and new plans

"Are you joking or something, Varis? Do you want to see me dead that much? Why would I even try to get close to that shit place called King's Landing? Not to mention what the King is doing right now for those he did not like, Tywin would kill me if I ever think of taking his position. Besides, Did you smell all that shit there? Why would I go to that dirty place where no man should live in?" Said Edward as he wanted to let Varys knew that he would never accept to work for any of the Targaryen. He was planning to build a new city for the Realm that would act like a Capitol to his kingdom. He decided to build it to the north of Storm's end. He would call it Storm's Eye and would take about five years to be ready.

"The people of the Realm would be thankful for you if you helped them in these dark times." Said Varys trying to persuade Edward one last time. Varys was one of the good guys that lived at that time, but his ideals were different from Edward, who only wanted to control Westeros if not the world. Varys cared about the Smallfolks, while Edward saw them as tools.

"All I care about now is the people living here in Stormsland. What would happen to them if I die? I am not going to forsake them for the others. Stormsland is open to anyone. Did you see me forbid anyone from living here?" Said Edward putting an end to this point. He was giving a clear message about how he would never go to King's Landing. He was faking his care to the Smallfolks so that he could trick Varys. And since no one knew about what Edward was thinking, Varys would not know, either.

"I would help you regarding the rumor. That is all that I will do for you and the other people of the realm." Said Edward trying to sound like the good guy. In fact, he was doing this for himself. Since Edward wanted this marriage to go smoothly in order to have enough time to prepare, he had to do that. He also wanted to gain Varys to his side.

"I am grateful for your help, my lord." Said Varys as he could only sigh for not being able to persuade Edward. At least, he knew that Edward was a good lord that served the people.

After that conversation, Edward's shadow legion worked with Varys's little birds to end these rumors. It was a tough battle against Tywin's spies, but since Tywin's spies did not have the same organisation as Edward's men, they lost. Plus, Edward's men had the help of Varys's little birds.

After that, the marriage went smoothly without any Tywin Lannister playing any trick behind the scene.

When Edward attended the wedding and saw Tywin's expression, it was truly laughable. He could not stop smiling the whole day.

Tywin was looking at him with hostility as he knew that Edward must have a hand in putting down the rumors. He even confronted him, and Edward did not deny it while accusing Twyin of breaking their deal. They both agreed to spread these rumors after the marriage, but Tywin did otherwise. Tywin left angry after this as he had nothing to retort with since he was the one in the wrong.

Another significant thing that Edward knew during that wedding made him unsettled the whole time. It seemed that since Ashara was not in Starfall anymore, her sister, Allyria, took her place as the lady-in-waiting.

At the moment, all Edward's calculations got fucked up. This variable that he did not take in his consideration almost messed everything up.

How could he not know that something like that would happen? Allyria was not the same as Ashara. She was not daring enough to leave Elia alone.

But After some thinking, Edward figured that was the best situation. Was not he always worried that Elia's death might not be enough to change Ashara? What about her sister? If Edward let the Lannister kill and rape Allyria, he was sure that Ashara's hate would be on the same level as Obyrien Martell. Not to mention that Edward could use Allyria's death to get the idiot, Arthur, to his side after kicking his ass.

He felt a little sorry for Allyria, but that was what life was in this world. You had to sacrifice something to gain another. He could use Allyria's death to educate his children in the future.

'Goodbye, little Allyria. I am sorry for that but some things have to get done. I would always remember your sacrifice. I would even remind the kids about your bravery.' Thought Edward as he looked at Allyria with some pity in his eyes. He could use Allyria's death as a reason to cut ties with the Lannisters and Robert when Edward put him on the throne.

After the wedding, Edward decided to formulate a new plan that would spread more chaos. No one liked it more than him. If Lord Baelish was not so obsessed with power, Edward did not mind recruiting him. All of you could say what you want, but if Baelish did not depend that much on Sansa, he would have made it big. The man who started the game of thrones was an idiot at the end. Edward would have liked if such a scheming mind worked for him. But since he could not control such a person, it was better to kill him instead.

Edward had the thought to work with Varys to smuggle Elia's children out of King's Landing. With this, he could use them against the rest of the Houses, especially the Lannister. Plus, if he saved Elia's daughter, Edward could marry her to one of his sons in the future. Edward wanted to control all the great houses of Westeros. He would kill the male heirs and betroth their daughters to his sons.

The next generation of all the great houses must be a Baratheon. Those who he could not control, for example, the Ironborns, it was best to kill everyone on those islands. That was the reason he was this anxious to get his sons. He was planning to take it all.
