Chapter 49

Bakero sits in his office checking the time waiting for a call from Yuno reporting Ken's death, he paid a lot of money to have him taken out of his way so he can have Yuno for himself, and that won't happen with Ken still alive and breathing.

He sighs getting tired of waiting and calls Yuno for the third time 'checking up on Ken'

Yuno stares at her phone confused about Bakero being so overly concerned about Ken's well-being, this is nothing like the man she met at the Cosplay, she knows she wasn't wrong about him being bad news, but right now he's playing his cards well.

"I don't know if he's okay, I'll try and find out for you." She hangs up and calls Ken's phone, cocking a brow when Kai is skipping volleyball practice looking suspicious while leaving with June. 

Ken answers his phone and she forgets what she wanted to say to Kai.

"Hey, Ken, are you okay? Are you feeling better? Do you need anything? Everyone's worried about you."
