'Victoria, can you hear me?'

Victoria is somewhere else. I don't know her exact location but I can feel her.

I threw her into a portal where the members of the cult were retreating. Well, not into a portal directly. But attached her to someone who entered the portal.

I'm pretty sure that she can hear my telepathic message. But she didn't answer. This means that even though she could hear me, she's in no position to answer.

I don't think anyone noticed her over there. Because if she had been caught, she would contact me right away and asked me to summon her or just open a portal to grab her. But she didn't.

This means that she's safe right now. But she's not in a location where it's safe to make a contact with me even via telepathy.

Maybe there are just too many people there. And if she moves, they will notice. So she just has to wait until it's safe to contact me.
