Chapter Fifty-One(51)

"I'm sorry for that Ma'am" The man apologized.

"No problem, can I see the prototype" Miss Anna asked

"Sure" the man said then hurriedly motioned to the team behind him and they pushed a small trolley towards the table and on it was a weird apparatus that looked like a magnifying glass or something.

"Is this it?" James asked surprised as he looked through the magnifying glass to see a tiny device that could fit his finger

"Well… yes" the man answered awkwardly, he felt as though the two were disappointed in his creation

In fact ever since he entered this room, he has been extremely nervous. Normally after creating something, they would just have to show it to the A.I Paris who would then Scan it for any dangerous uses and shit like that but then today just as he was about to present the MTD, his team had worked so hard on to the A.I, they were directed here to meet with what is probably the most popular and richest people on the planet. These two's decisions were basically everything in the entire nation, especially on Science Island where most of them were all wanted criminals.

The Memory Transfer Device or MTD for short was a device that did exactly as its name suggested and more. This will allow humans to learn things at speeds way beyond normal by letting them upload whatever information they wanted into their minds. With the amount of technology and resources they had access to, he and his team could make the device as advanced as they wanted hence the device was very small…. At least small enough to fit in the back of the ear without being spotted.

"Oh… I thought the first prototype presented would be a helmet or something like that but this is something else" James confessed.

He truly didn't expect the first device presented would be this small in fact as it was now, they could already start mass producing it and releasing to the public. This was a bit alarming to him and it seems as though Paris was right that he was underestimating these people. For the first presented device to be as small and presentable as this, it simply meant that these groups had spent their time on trying to optimize it.

"We had too much time and resources so we decided to modify and improve on the MTD, after Twenty-three (23) tries we finally managed to make it extremely portable and even managed to fully work it out to prevent any form of hacking and sorts" The man said with a smile to indicate his pride.

"You mean to tell me that this little thing can send things to people's minds" Miss Anna asked still surprised that such technology could exist

"Yes Ma'am, My Team and I tested this on ourselves to prove how safe they were" The man replied

"Okay then show me how you use this thing" Miss Anna asked as she stood up and walked up to the small tray that held the MTD

"For improved mobility and easy installment, we made the MTD as small as possible and even managed to whip up a control device that allows you to choose what you want to send to your mind" The man said then picked up a small phone by the side of the tray

"That's nice…. How does it work" James asked as he stood up from his chair and walked towards the trolley

"Before that, is this thing tested for any possibility of being hacked" Miss Anna asked as she stopped James from reaching out to touch it.

She may not be the scientific type but at least she had a general knowledge about things related to it. She felt as though the device was too good to be true and nobody would blame her for that, this was a device that could basically teach people what they usually learn in several months or years in just a second. It was groundbreaking and even though she hadn't figured out all the other uses for this, she at least knew that with technology like this, she could basically train an extremely skilled army in one night.

"I wouldn't want to say that it is impossible after all we are humans and will eventually find a way but yes, the device only connects to only one other device and that is this one and both can't be connected to the internet" The Man said with a smile as though he was expecting that question

"Makes sense, go on" She said understandingly, she knew clearly there was nothing impossible in this world after all even though she hadn't told anyone, she could lift weights way heavier than 500kg and yet she didn't look the part. If she could be this strong and yet look as young and normal as she did then someone out there could definitely hack into it in one way or the other.
