Haruna was sitting atop a grassy cliff by herself, staring out at the sunset. She soon heard steps walking up behind her, so she turned around to see Gida.

"Hey."

"Hey."

Gida walked up beside her. "Can I sit down?"

"Mhm."

Gida plopped down and stretched. "Dying and coming back to life really messes with your head."

"It was like a dream, right?"

"Something like that, but also because I wasn't strong enough. It's frustrating, you know? I've worked my ass off for years, just to be eradicated in a single blow by grunt soldiers."

"I see. I guess that would feel quite infuriating."

Gida looked at her. "Well how about you? You Alphas rule the entire country now. That's pretty awesome."

"Hm. But I wonder if Akasan did it because he trusts us, or because he wanted to be rid of his position."

Gida looked up. "Maybe it was neither? He probably just thought it was the right thing to do. That's the kind of guy he is."

"Really…"
