7) Hogwarts Express, New Friends....

September 1, 1988

Standing in front of a large red express train Iann let his mother cry into his shoulder while his father and the rest stood off to the side looking at them funny. Seeing an eleven almost twelve year old comfort his mother when it should have been the other way around, they got funny looks but no one spoke out. Iann kept patting her back.

"...And you better remember to always call forget owling unless it is something that needs to be carried okay?" She said with a shaky voice while wiping her tears looking him in the eye, though he didn't want to make them yet he made magic cell phones for his family's private use.

They were simple flip phones that could call and text he didn't want them to advanced before he made some for the rest of the wizarding world, it too much out of him. While he could make them it was hard work since he didn't really know how to make magic and electronics work together then he had to imagine something that drained a lot of magic.

Back to his family they sighed in relief seeing Bella let go of Iann but they all did remember when the same thing happened when his aunt Andromeda was sending off Tonks. Even if he was being brave everyone could tell that Iann was sad just looking at his purple hair, his mom was on the brink of just snatching him and running home but stopped herself.

His family had actually planned to move to France and he was going to go to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic but they stopped last minute since his dad's job was here. (A/N: I really did plan this because it would be something different but I stopped myself, that doesn't mean that it wont be a arch somewhere soon, keep reading.) Iann did look into it though and he was planning to exchange there for a year or two later he didn't want to got the route everyone else did, he was mainly going his first year to be sorted.

After a heartfelt goodbye Tonks and Iann got on board her heading to the older cabins while he went to find a compartment, it took awhile but he did end up finding one that was empty. It wasn't that they were all full but the ones that he came across were packed, because of the war his class was lower than most.

While looking out the window and waving goodbye to his mother and family, he happened to notice the Weasley's they didn't look like they had anything going on with them. When they passed his family he did see a glint in Molly's eyes as she noticed Harry standing there but she couldn't do anything about him being there.

He shrugged it off for now and pulled out a book that he had been reading it was just some nonsense comic but he loved superheroes so he kept reading it though. After awhile before the train left there was a knock on his door, after yelling come in a boy who looked like a young Robert Pattinson walked in looking a little nervous but had a friendly smile.

"Do you mind the rest are full?" He asked pointing at the empty seat across from Iann.

"No, please have a seat." Iann said with a smile putting down his book, he liked this character in the movies and books even if it wasn't that big that people didn't talk about him much. The guy was born and raised in the wizarding world but he was only a half-blood it took awhile to check but Iann had found out about it.

"What is that you are reading?" He asked looking over the comic that Iann was reading.

"Oh this is a comic I just got last week, it's about a guy who has superpowers and saves the world. Strange thing though he insist on doing it with his underwear over his suit." Ian said making a funny face by changing his face to have a pig snout.

Cedric started laughing hearing that and seeing what he did, "You're a Metamorphmagus then?" he asked calming down a little.

"Yes I'm--" he didn't finish hearing another knock in came a girl with light brown skin she was a pretty little girl he had seen her somewhere before but couldn't place where.

"Do you mind if I join you guys, I've tried other places but let's just say some places aren't to friendly." she said looking at the two hoping that they would be nicer than the last place she had been.

Iann and Cedric could understand she was probably muggleborn and most kids on the train are pure-bloods right now, while there are muggles it is only about ten to the many pure-bloods. Iann spoke out, "As long as, well I didn't catch his name but as long as he agrees then I am okay with it. I am Iann Edwards by the way."

"Cedric Diggory and please join use." He said with his soon to be signature smile.

"Angelina Johnson and thank you. So were you guys born into all this or did you just learn like me?" She asked nervously but who wouldn't be if you thought you were just a normal human then get sent to a magical boarding school by the age of eleven to be all alone.

"Yeah mom and dad have been doing magic around me since I was a baby but I did grow up in the muggle world since they had reasons." Iann explained with a nod.

"Same here but I was raised in the magical world so I'm use to this, been waiting on my letter since the day my dad told me of the school. So which school do you guys want to be in?" Cedric asked practically bouncing.

"Umm I'm not to sure but I have heard good things about Gryffindor so maybe there." Angelia said, she was the nervous type like Neville but hers comes from being in a new environment rather than nerves.

"I have heard good about all but seeing as my personality is a little wild I could end up anywhere. We will have to wait and see until I am settled in." Iann admitted while making his hair and face change which fascinated Angelina which calmed down her nerves greatly.

Cedric nodded his head, "Same I feel like I could be in all but since we don't know how we are sorted it is all up in the air isn't it."

The group had been talking long enough for the train to leave and be gone from the station for an two hours, so it wasn't a surprise when the trolley came around. "Anything from the trolley dears?" Asked the lady pushing the cart.

While Angelia bought some to try, Cedric bought all his favorites, Iann declined he had tried them all and while they were good it was to sweet for his teeth he was more of a mild person in eating sense. Taking out his charmed pouch he took out his lunch under the curious gaze of Cedric and Angelina, "What's that?" Cedric asked never seeing the food before.

Both Angelina and Iann gasped, Iann's hair went bright yellow from shock while putting a hand over his chest like someone just shot him. He was currently holding a medium sized pizza that he made with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, spinach and tomatoes. This was his favorite combo.

Angelina was the first to speak up after shock, "That is a pizza a food that is basically from the heavens themselves. Do you mind if I have a slice Iann?" She asked looking a timid but the smell was over whelming her it was also effecting Cedric too.

"Sure but under one condition?" he said with a smile.

"What?" she asked nervously.

"Nothing much just be a good friend in the future."

"Deal." she then took a slice and moaned when she took a bite of it.

"Do you mind if I have a slice too?" Cedric asked while wiping his drool, "I will make the same promise even if we are in different houses." Iann nodded and he took one while moaning just like Angelina from his first of many pizzas he would have in the future.

Iann smiled but it froze when he turned his head and saw a red head monster standing there, his cousin Tonks, she was glaring at him while wiping her drool at the same time. Before he could do anything she already threw the door open shouting, "GIMMIE!!!" She tackled him knowing he wouldn't let the pizza fall.

"TONKS!!! STOP IT THE PIZZA WON'T FLY AWAY!!!" He shouted at her while pushing her away with one hand but she was like a zombie fighting back to get to the pizza.

The other two kids in the compartment didn't know what to say seeing this scene they could tell the two knew each other and the girl was an older girl in Hufflepuff. They just enjoyed the show while eating the Pizza Angelina saw some soda's and handed one to Cedric explaining it to him while the other two people fought.

"YOU GUYS ARE TRATIORS DIDN'T YOU JUST AGREE TO BE GOOD FRIENDS!!!" Iann yelled at them while they looked away sipping their soda, "Tonks please calm down."

She stopped mainly cause she was panting from being to tired, "Fine but give me some or I am owling your mom and telling her you are bullying girls." She didn't say call since there was two other people in the room at the moment.

Iann paled his hair going white, "Please don't." he quickly gave her the box, she used his one fear on him which was also the only person he was truly scared of, even his father couldn't help. She took the pizza smiling triumphantly while looking at his two companions in the car with him, "So icky little first years what are we talking about?"

"Nothing, just talking about Hogwarts while also enjoying our lunch." Iann answered her grumpily, "Guy's this is my cousin Nymphadora Tonks, call her by her name no need to agree with her and call her anything else." he was still mad about his pizza, "So what are you doing here Nymphadora?"

She pulled his ear while smiling but was it really a smile though, "What I can't come just be here to see how my little cousin is doing?" She wouldn't tell him the real reason like the fact that her 'Friends' were accusing her of trying to steal their boyfriends again so she left them.

"Of course you can be here now let go!" He said trying to pull away, his hair was now purple he wanted a cool image in front of his potential best friends but she was quickly ruining that for him. Cedric and Angelina were laughing while watching the interactions between the two cousins.

The rest of the ride was joking and messing around with Tonks and Iann competing to see who could make the best face using their abilities, the entire time Cedric and Angelina wouldn't stop laughing. Before they got there Tonks left to be with the older years and Him and Cedric stepped out so Angelina could change into her robes.

They already had theirs on but Iann was already thinking of a way to wear something that wasn't so formal he had a couple of thoughts and smiled a little. Cedric who was standing next to him saw the grin and stepped away a little while shivering he thought it was a creepy smile but seeing that his face was normal again thought it was his imagination.
