Identify has leveled up to 12.

Axel didn't have time to look at his own status and asked the system, "All of its fire-type attacks are at level 40. What is happening, system?" This was very surprising. If this was not a hoax, then Charizard had undergone a major upgrade.

Ding!

Please check the description of the new move 'Flame Control'.

"I could do that?"

Ding!

Since Identify has leveled up to 12, the host can view the move description of his Pokemon.

Flame Control:

Stage I: The temperature of Charizard's flames has increased to 2500 degrees Celsius. The flames are now more ferocious and deadly.

---

First of all, he was happy that Charizard had learned a passive move. Axel had come to realize that passive moves were more powerful than active moves. Secondly, Charizard's firepower had been upgraded. A normal fire burned at around 1100 degrees Celsius. Charizard's previous flame temperature was around 1500 degrees Celsius, but now it had increased by 1000 degrees Celsius.

Charizard was spewing Flamethrower, and Axel could see that there was a hint of whiteness in the flames. Its flames had undergone some mutation, to say the least. The increase in temperature had significantly boosted the power of all its fire-type attacks, causing them all to reach level 40.

Nidorino VS Kangaskhan

Kangaskhan was just a normal-type Pokemon, yet nothing was normal about it. First of all, it was an all-female Pokemon. There were no male genes in it. It had a peculiar reproductive capability that didn't require any male interference.

Next, Mega Kangaskhan was a beast. It was one of the most powerful Pokemon in the game, with its sickening ability, 'Parental Bond', which dealt an additional 25% damage in any attack. The keyword here was 'Mega' but Kangaskhan didn't possess that ability.

However, it was not to be underestimated. It stood at around 7 feet tall, furious at being disturbed. There was no baby Kangaskhan in sight; it had hidden the baby during the fight.

As usual, Nidorino started with 'Sludge Wave'. This had become one of its favorite moves, but it was interrupted by a chop to its head. Kangaskhan was bulky and big, yet it seemed to be very fast.

It came near Nidorino at blinding speed and used 'Fake Out'. 'Fake Out' was a priority move in games, but not in real life. However, if the move hit, the opponent's Pokemon would flinch.

Nidorino stood there, confused by the sudden attack. Kangaskhan took full advantage of it and proceeded to use 'Ice Punch' on Nidorino, but the attack was blasted by a white beam of tremendous power. That was Shedinja using 'Hyper Beam'.

Shedinja was a master of sneak attacks. Kangaskhan had no idea that Shedinja had used "Shadow Jump" to approach it from the side and deliver the blow.

Axel looked at Kangaskhan's stats and said to Shedinja, "Marcus, it only has 'Shadow Claw' that could affect you. Finish it quickly."

Normal-type Pokemon were quite a mystery. They could learn most types of moves, like Electric, Ice, you name it, but they were called Normal. They also had only one weakness, and that was Fighting.

Axel was really interested in the concept of Normal-type Pokemon using other types of attacks and perfecting them. Tauros was the only Normal-type Pokemon on his team, and he was thinking of experimenting with it later on.

The battle ended quickly. Shedinja launched a series of attacks, and Nidorino finished it off with 'Spinning Poison'. Kangaskhan wasn't dead yet; Axel left it injured. It wasn't seriously injured, but it couldn't fight right now. Axel knew that somewhere in the forest, the baby Kangaskhan was waiting for it. He just didn't want to kill it.

However, towards the end of the battle, Kangaskhan landed a powerful punch on Nidorino. The punch was so strong that Axel could see shockwaves emanating from it. He already knew what move it was. It was 'Reversal'.

'Reversal' dealt more damage in proportion to how much the user was hurt. Kangaskhan had sustained significant damage, and it dealt considerable damage to Nidorino. Despite Nidorino's high defense and the help of 'Poison Damage Transfer', it needed some time to recover and battle again.

The battle seemed to be going in their favor. Nidorino and Shedinja took over Alakazam's spot and faced Steelix. Axel wanted Shedinja to focus on mass teleportation.

It was surprising to see Steelix in the Kanto forest. It was the evolved form of Onix, but they hadn't figured out the exact method yet.

Onix needed a Metal Coat and trading to evolve. Since this was the real world, evolution through trading was not possible, so there must be some other way to achieve it.

Unfortunately, the researchers didn't even know if Onix could evolve into Steelix. They had encountered some Steelix in the wild, and due to its complicated evolution conditions, it was a rare sight.

"Axel, try to catch that one!" shouted Adam. Even Adam wanted him to catch that Steelix.
