Dead?

A bright blue light flashed in the room as Lin Feng felt a sudden sense of nausea hitting him. Being spat out by some sort of spatial disturbance, Lin Feng fell to the ground as bile rose from his throat.

Forcefully swallowing it back down, Lin Feng took several deep breaths as he tried to reclaim his thoughts.

Only after a few moments later did Lin Feng realise that he wasn't inside his own room anymore.

It was only then that the system made itself known again with its strange blue holographic messages.

[Start the Tutorial?]

Lin Feng stared at it for a few moments, his excitement quickly dimmed from the strange method of transportation. He didn't want to be too rash about this, It was better for him to properly look around this place first.

Looking around, all he saw was a straight dark corridor.

Lights hung from above, equal distances apart from each other on the ceiling. The light was very dim, barely brighter than light a candle could emit. The only thing that could be made out was that the corridor was straight.

Putting his hands on the walls at the side, Lin Feng could tell that it was made out of stone from its rough texture. The ceiling was a little higher than three metres and the walls at the side were around two and a half metres apart, but it was more than enough for Lin Feng to move properly in with his small body.

Turning around, there was another holographic message stuck to the wall. It read:

[Healing Room] which was pretty self-explanatory.

Looking around a bit more, Lin Feng didn't really find anything of note anymore. He couldn't discern any way out of this place here so it was likely that he would need to complete the tutorial before he could return.

Before Lin Feng could leave the [Healing Area], he hit his own head in exasperation towards himself.

The status bar! He had forgotten about it just now! Maybe that would show a way out of this place.

"Status," Lin Feng called out. At once, Lin Feng's status bar appeared in front of him in a holographic message similar to the ones before.

[Name: Lin Feng]

[Martial Spirit: God Killing Spear (Sealed)]

[Cultivation: Rank 10 Spirit Scholar (Requires a spirit ring to advance)]

[Stat Points: 0]

[Strength : Rank 9 Spirit Scholar (7/9)

Agility : Rank 7 Spirit Scholar (5/7)

Endurance: Rank 9 Spirit Scholar (4/9)

Intelligence: Rank 10 Spirit Scholar (8/10)

Luck: 5]

Huh, he was actually pretty below average for the normal Rank 10. It made sense that his endurance and strength were at the level of a Rank 9 since he had broken through rather recently and his body hadn't caught up with his cultivation yet.

However, what was with his agility and intelligence?

Lin Feng pondered about it for a few moments before he came up with a hypothesis. Perhaps his intelligence being higher than average was a result of him being a reincarnator?

In system novels, intelligence usually stood for the amount of energy reserves a person had. That would make sense if that was the case.

On the other hand, there was his agility which was quite a bit below average. He naturally also had his thoughts about this as well.

It should be due to the fact that he rarely ever sparred ever since he had come here. Lin Feng had spent a lot of his time in cuktivation since he wanted to get his first spirit ring quickly.

'Oh well, no point thinking too much about it now. I'll probably find out more when I do the tutorial,' thought Lin Feng.

With his stats being the first thing he looked at, Lin Feng's eyes roamed the screen once more before they froze at the martial spirit section.

"God Killing Spear!?!" Lin Feng blurted out in alarm. What was that? Wasn't his spear just a normal one? How did it suddenly have a name like that?

Reading more of it, Lin Feng found out that the spear had actually been sealed.

"So that's why I don't have innate full spirit power… I wonder how I can unseal it though."

Lin Feng shook his head. 'I really should put these thoughts aside. These are things I can ponder about later. For now, I should try to get out of here.'

Lin Feng's gaze returned to the [Start the Tutorial?]. Taking a deep breath, Lin Feng took several steps, walking past the holographic message. It dispersed in the process, allowing Lin Feng to know that he actually had triggered the Tutorial.

With a burst of spiritual energy, Lin Feng's spear appeared in his hand as his vigilance skyrocketed.

The dimness of the surroundings were eerie, so Lin Feng didn't dare to relax for a second as he lowered his centre of mass and walked down this seemingly endless corridor at a snail's pace. Both of his hands were on his spear, as he was completely prepared for battle.

Even after walking within the corridor for what felt like several hours, Lin Feng didn't relax. He knew that a corridor that was this long was meant to lure him into a sense of security before it inevitably beat him up.

He knew that much at least.

However, what bothered him was that something like this was the tutorial. Weren't tutorials supposed to be easy things that you could complete in around five minutes?

Nevertheless, Lin Feng marched on. It was a mixture of fear and discipline from all his cultivation that he was able to do this.

[You have learned: Concentration Lv. 1]

[You have learned: Will Lv. 1]

Huh.

Well that snapped Lin Feng out of the concentration that he had been in. Unable to help himself from breaking discipline for a few moments, he stood up straight walking a few steps, calling out "Status" as he did so.

So he got some skills. Nice.

[Concentration Lv. 1

[Will Lv. 1

Description: Increases your will]

So it's kinda like the Gamer, ay? Certain situations are required to obtain new skills.

Welp, time to go back to being focused. It might kill him if he didn't.

He curled up once more, holding his spear with both hands, completely prepared for anything that may come out at this time.

Click.

Lin Feng's instincts all screamed danger at him at this very moment. Reflexively, he brought up his spear to protect his upper body as a frighteningly quick arrow burst out from the darkness.

As the arrow collided to the left of Lin Feng's spear, the momentum of the arrow sent Lin Feng crashing into the wall on his right, causing him to involuntarily spit out a glob of spittle. Darkness instantly encroached his vision as he felt himself fading away.

[Endurance + 1]

[Agility + 1]

[Strength + 1]

It was then that a sharp pain wracked his back, awakening him from his stupor.

Lin Feng let out a groan as he tried to quickly clear up the fogginess in his head. He scrambled back to his feet, trying to ignore the pain as he tried to prepare himself for any more arrows.

He noticed the gains in his stats, but he couldn't be happy about it at this moment. His head wasn't clear enough to do so.

Click.

Another flash of silver came flying out from the darkness, dashing towards Lin Feng's head. Luckily for Lin Feng at this moment, his legs gave out under him as the arrow whooshed over his head.

[Luck + 1]

Another arrow came aiming towards the gut of Lin Feng's lying figure. This time, luck wasn't there to save him as he found an arrow buried in his gut.

"AARRGGH!!!"

Lin Feng was sent crashing ten metres away in an instant. He spat out a mouthful of blood as it continuously poured out of his mouth. There was a massive hole in his gut as blood came pouring out endlessly, dying the floor red.

'Shit… am I dying?…' Those were Lin Feng's first thoughts. The next that came was,

'I feel so cold...'

Bleeding out alone in the dark corridor, indignation appeared on his face.'But I don't want to die…'

Those words were thought very calmly despite the situation he was in. He just couldn't find the energy to be truly indignant at the moment.

Using the last bits of willpower he had, Lin Feng opened his mouth.

"W-Why the f-fuck-k i-is th-his t-tuto-orial so h-hard???"
