With trembling hands, Reya closed the blank eyes that were staring up at her. She slowly stood up and glanced up at the sky.

Sensing her heightened emotions, Haily and Jaiye stayed close, holding each of her shoulders.

Reya stood there for a minute or so, settling down her turbulent emotions. 'I have been sheltered... I haven't faced the ways of this new world,' she then glanced at Haily and Jaiye, who seemed to be used to these scenes. 'What did they have to go through to get so.....so emotionless?'
