We arrive at Madam Malkin's and enter.
"Hello dears, Hogwarts?" The lady asked, we both nod and she beckoned us towards a stall.
After about ten minutes, we get our robes and leave. Now we make our way to Ollivanders, and I can finally get my wand. Me and Ginny wonder what type of wand we will get. We walk into dad, who just stopped.
"Why did you stop?" I ask looking around.
"Sorry I thought I saw something." He said, shaking his head, as he continued to walk ahead.
I look around and try to find what dad was talking about, but I don't see anything. We finally arrived at Ollivanders, and I can't contain myself. Me and Ginny run and open the door. We see the space to stand is small, I look at the desk and see a bell, which I ring.
"I'll be right with you." Said a voice behind a load of boxes.
I look at dad and he just smiles, so this must be what normally happens.
"Gin, I'll let you go first." I say with a smile.
"Just because you want to see what happens." She said, with a knowing smile.
"That's not true, I just thought you might want to go first because you're younger." I said unconvincingly.
Both dad and Ginny start laughing, I just ignore them and look around. I see a man coming out from behind the boxes.
"Ah Sirius Black, beech 10", dragon heartstring, inflexible. Good wand that one." He said smiling at dad. [A/N: Sirius' wand was never mentioned so I made something up.]
"Yes, and it's still as good as when I first bought it." Dad said with a smile. Ollivander just nods.
"So you two, what is your wand hand?" He asked us both.
"I'm left handed." Ginny replied, a bit nervous as a measuring tape started to move on its own.
"I'm ambidextrous, so ether arm will do." I say, more confident then Ginny.
He smiles and starts grabbing boxes. After ten minutes, Ginny finally gets her wand. Yew 9", dragon heartstring, springy. [A/N: Had to make this one up as well, all that was known is yew as the wood.]
It's now my turn, I try the few wands that Ginny tried and nothing. About two hours later.
"Oh I do like a tricky customer, oh I wonder?" Ollivander said, disappearing behind more boxes. He comes back with a box. "This is an experimental wand, 11" Acacia, duel core of dragon heartstring and phoenix tail feather, sturdy." He said, placing the box down and opening it.
It was beautiful, I reach out and once it's in my hand, I felt complete. I look up and see Ollivander with a big smile.
"I never thought I'd ever be able to sell that wand, it's very picky. You are going to do great things." He said still smiling, dad pays for the wands and we leave. We head for Flourish and Blotts and see everyone outside, with an annoyed looking Mr Weasley.
"What happened Arthur?" Dad asked concerned.
"It was that Lucius Malfoy, him and dad had an argument and it ended in a fist fight." Ron said, looking in awe of Mr Weasley.
"Of course it was that idiot." Dad said looking around, to see if he was still skulking somewhere near.
"What took you three so long?" Mrs Weasley asked, with a worried look.
"Don't worry Molly, we were in Ollivanders, it took awhile to get Claire's wand." He said with a smile.
"Oh that's right, how much do we owe you?" Mrs Weasley asked, pulling out a rather anemic looking money pouch.
"Don't worry about money, Molly. Plus if I take any money Claire might beat me up." He said, laughing.
"No I wouldn't do that, I'll just tell mum." I said with an evil smile.
Dad's face dropped, he looked at me like I was a monster.
"How could you be so mean to your dad?" He said with a pitiful look.
After we talked for a bit longer, we say goodbye to Harry and the Weasley's. Dad's going to apparate to drop off Harry's things and pick up Ginny's stuff. We continue towards Eelops owl emporium.
"So what kind of owl do you want?" Dad asked, just as we arrive.
"I'll have a look." I say, opening the door to the shop.
Looking around I see loads of owls of different types. I keep looking and see a very beautiful black owl.
"Hello, did you want to come with me?" I asked the owl, who looked at me for awhile then hooted. "Dad this one please."
"Your daughter has a good eye, this one is a black screech owl, but she doesn't like most people." The shop keeper said with a smile.
Dad pays and we head for the car, we have all our school supplies thanks to Mrs Weasley.
Thanks for reading the chapter.
And just for clarification, the phoenix tail feather in Claire’s wand is not from Fawkes, but a different one.
Any and all feedback is welcome.
