Jim looked out his window. The white of falling snow blanked out everything.

"The view isn't going to change anytime soon," Joe said. "Don went home, but he did a great job of getting us home from the mine. I'm glad you suggested having two drivers. From what I could see through the storm that old mine had been blown all to hell. They had three of those armoured vehicles, one pulling a trailer and a flatbed rig with a back hoe and a bulldozer. I think they were looking for something there and got caught by the weather."

"I don't think they're used to functioning in this climate," Jim sighed and turned away from the window. "Maybe the Rangers can help them."

"I don't know," Joe shook his head and leaned against the wall. "They didn't look like they'd be happy getting advice from an auxiliary reserve. Their boss looked like he'd bit into a lemon when he saw me. Polite enough, but…"
