When a good thing happens a bad thing happens too!

As they were about to leave, Tae oppa got on his knees.

"Jenny, will you marry me?" He asked with a ring in his hand.

We all were shocked, especially me.

Please say yes, please say yes.

"Yes!" She said and he put the ring on her.

I was so happy. They are finally together. I couldn't stop smiling.

I remembered about the bet.

I looked at jungkook in shock.

"You knew about this." I said. He was smiling.

"I lost. Shit!" I whispered to myself.

I punched him in his shoulder.

"Why you didn't tell me?"

"Cause I wanted it to be a surprise." Tae oppa said.

I hugged oppa and Unnie tightly.

"I'm really happy for you guys."

The bride and groom got in the car and drove off.

"Is this why you kept the bet?" I asked.

"Knowing I'll lose?"

"No. I wanted it to be fun for sometime."

"The bet will be held tomorrow. Not today. I'm really tired." I said and took the car keys from Jungkook's pocket and went to the car.

I sat in and asked him to come fast.

He came soon and he drove off.

"Looks like the fuels low." I said.

"Yeah. We'll refill it and then go."

He drove to the fuel station. I also got out.

I stretched out my arms and smiled. And walked around. While Jungkook was filling the fuel tank.

"You look damn happy." Jungkook said as he was filling.

"Why wouldn't I? My brother's engaged. I'm really happy." He smiled and continued refilling.

Suddenly, I got dashed by something.

The last thing I remembered was Jungkook calling me and everything turned black.

Jungkook's POV

I finished refilling and turned to call y/n when a car dashed her.

"Y/N!!" I screamed and went to her. I shook her. She didn't respond.

Tears slowly formed in my eyes. I carried her and put her in the car and drove to the hospital immediately.

Her dress was full with blood stains. Her head and hand was bleeding. I didn't know what to do. Tears flowed.

I took her to the emergency and they said to do operation immediately.

"We need blood. Any A+ves?" The doctor asked.

"I-I am. I can give blood."

"Ok. We'll check your blood and then we'll confirm."

I went with the nurse. She checked my blood and thank god it was a match. I gave some blood and I came out.

I called her brother.

"H-hyung. Hyung, Y/n got into an accident."

"W-what? How?"

"I don't know. Hyung come to XYZ hospital."

"I'll come." He cut the call.

I looked her through the glass. There was a lot of bleeding.

Tears flowed continuously.

"I'll not leave the person who did this to y/n, alone. No matter who it is, he will face it."

Third person POV

Hearing what Jungkook said, Taehyung and Jenny immediately drove to the hospital.

Taehyung was really worried and sad. His eyes were watery. But not a drop of tear fell.

He drove very fast that they soon reached the hospital. They ran in and asked the receptionist.

They went to the third floor and saw jungkook.

"Jungkook!!" He shouted.

"Hyung!"

"How is she? What happened? How did it happen?"

Jungkook found it difficult to speak. He felt something in his throat that stopped him from talking about it.

"She is under operation now.... the doctor hasn't said anything."

"Where were you guys?"

"We went to refill the fuel. And suddenly a car..... a car dashed her. I don't know who was it. I didn't care to look. Hyung I'm sorry. You told me to look after her, but.... but I was careless." Tears flowed more.

Taehyung hugged him.

"It's ok Kook. You didnt do anything. It's not your fault."

The doctor came out.

"The operation went well. Mr. Jeon, you brought her at the right time and gave her blood. If she's alive, it's all because of you. She'll be awake by a day or two."

They bowed and the doctor left.

"Jungkook, I don't know how to thank you. You've saved my sister, my only family's life. Thanks a lot." Taehyung hugged him again.

Taehyung looked at Y/n from the door. A tear escaped his eyes seeing his sister in the the operation theatre with the oxygen mask, IV's and other things.

Jenny held his shoulder and comforted him.

"Tae, she'll get better. She will be fine. You have to stay strong Tae. For her."

He hugged her and cried more.

"I didn't expect her to be in this stage. I've never seen her this way. And it's really difficult..... difficult to see her in the ICU and... and it's just.... I don't and I can't lose her." He said in between his cries.

Jungkook sat down and rewinded the accident. He couldn't come out of it. He felt really worried.

She was his first love and he liked her a lot. He couldn't see her like that. In a position where she was almost to die.

'If I didn't bring her to the hospital at the right time, what would've happened? I promised to look after her, to protect her, to keep her safe. But now....' he was into his thoughts.

"Who's the attendee of patient Kim Y/n?" The nurse asked.

"I am." I said.

"Please sign here." I signed.

"Hyung, you go home. I'll take care of y/n. You're really tired and this was supposed to turn out as a good day, but ended up... I'll stop there. Noona, take hyung home and hyung, I'll take care. I'll call you if she's awake."

Jenny took Taehyung and Jungkook watched them go. As they left, he went in.

She had a bandage in her head and one in her elbow. Her leg was fractured. There were few bruises in her hands.

He held her hand and said,

"Y/n, I don't know if I can ever tell you this when you're awake. But y/n, I like you. I like you so much, that I can't express it in words. Why out of all, it should be you who gets hurt? It hurts me to see you get hurt. I want to stay with you, protect you, keep you safe and love you a lot. I don't have the guts to tell you this also in person. It's really difficult to see you like this. I'll not let the person who hurt you like this."

Tears flowed as he said those words. But he meant every word. Each word came from his heart.

He sat by her and looked at her.

Meanwhile, Taehyung headed to the dorm with Jenny. The other members were worried seeing Taehyung sad.

Jenny explained them everything.

"How can it be? Y/n, is a girl who doesn't hurt others." Jin said.

"Indeed true. She's a soft nature and really sweet. She never had fridges on anyone nor anyone would have on her." Jimin added.

"Tae, you don't stress yourself about it. We're there. She will be alright." Namjoon said to Taehyung. He nodded his head but couldn't stop thinking about her.

"Tae, you need to take some rest." Jenny said and took him to the room.

Taehyung couldn't sleep. His heart and mind was thinking about his sister.

Jungkook couldn't sleep. He was worried. When will she wake up?

He wanted to hold her hand, and say her that he's there for her and there to protect her.

Jungkook thought who would've done it cause it didn't look like a mistake. If it was by mistake, the person would've come out, but this person, didn't care to stop and just drove off.

"Who has a grudge on her? It.... it should be her." He said to himself.

*next day

The members came to visit y/n. They were really shocked to see y/n hurt this much.

"Get well soon y/n." Jin said caressing her hair.

They looked at her for sometime and left. Taehyung sat on the bed and looked at her. Jungkook was also there.

"Hyung, it doesn't look like an accident. It looks planned." He said.

"W-what do you mean?"

"Yes hyung. When she.... when she got hit, the person just left. He/she didn't care to stop."

"W-who do you think it is?"

"I'm not sure. I don't know."

"Just let me know who it is." He said in a serious tone and left.

Jungkook went behind him.

"Hyung... hyung, if you know who it is, don't do anything." He nodded and left.

*two days later

Jungkook sat all day. He rarely slept or ate anything. So did Taehyung.

Jungkook was asleep on the chair.

Y/n moved her fingers. She slowly opened her eyes and adjusted her eyes to the light.

Y/n's POV

I opened my eyes slowly and was greeted by a white ceiling.

I looked around. I saw jungkook sleeping on the couch.

I felt my eyelids heavy. I couldn't open them full.

My head started aching and my hand pained.

I couldn't take it.

Tears flowed. I didn't know why.

He opened his eyes lightly and noticed I was awake.

"Y-y/n, you're awake." He said.

"W-why are you crying?" He asked as he wiped my tears.

I couldn't speak. I shook my head saying nothing.

"Y/n, you'll be fine. I-I'll go get the doctor." He said and left.

He soon came back with the doctor.

"Are you feeling good?" I nodded my head.

"She'll be fine by two days and shifted to normal ward. Then we'll observe her for a day and she'll be discharged."

"Thank you doctor." He bowed and left.

"I'll let Taehyung hyung know."

"Ju-Jungkook." I called him in a low voice.

"Do-don't call oppa now. He'll be really worried." I tried saying.

"But he'll..." I cut him.

"No. It's ok. He must've b-been really worried and not slept nor a-ate anything. Let him ta-take rest."

"Ok."

"An-and you also take rest. I-i know you wouldn't have sle-slept all day and night. S-so go take rest."

"I'm fine. You're awake and that itself made me energetic."

"Remember that time when you- when you fainted due to lack of sleep. And this time I-I won't be there to help you."

"If you don't stress yourself by talking, I'll take rest." I nodded my head. He went to the bed and lay down.

Thanks a lot Jungkook. For staying by me and helping me. I've fallen for you. Fallen for you a long back ago. But I didn't realise that time.

Jungkook, I like you so much. But I don't know when to tell you this. But it'll be soon.
