A Fated Encounter

Just as Tang Jing was lost in her thoughts, her phone rang.

Tang Jing picked it up and saw the words "Xiaomi" on the screen.

The gentle smile on Tang Jing's face disappeared when she saw the name. She picked up the phone and said softly, "Xiaomi? What's the matter?"

Tang Xiaomi's cute voice came through the phone. "Mommy, what are you doing?"

Tang Jing said gently, "I'm working right now."

Tang Xiaomi hummed in acknowledgment and said, "Mommy, let's go watch "The Devilish Boy", alright?"

Tang Jing said, "Is it an animated film?" She looked at her schedule and said, "Maybe not, Xiaomi. I'm going to be busy at work this month. I should be free after the month is over though."

Tang Xiaomi's pleading voice came from the other end of the phone. "Mommy, the movie might be taken down by next month though."

Tang Jing had a troubled look on her face, but she still started browsing through her schedule.
