Melaine liked attending those large gatherings, and showing off their 'engagement.' whenever she got the chance. Because she liked parading them around as a couple whenever they met. Others naturally assumed there was something between them. They even went as far as to speculate that Melaine was his spiritual bond partner. That the bond will snap in place in the altar.

'I wonder if she started to believe that too. The plans she made for the wedding ceremony were rather excessive.'

Melaine's gaze dimmed. "I already found a way around that."

"Oh?"

"I was the one who caused that group to revolt. I was the one who forced you to take responsibility and hide away in the mountains."

Yuhi froze at her words. She did what? 

"I thought if you had a bad reputation as a cold blooded killer, even if you met your soul bond partner she would reject you."
