Fiends Arrival

Suddenly, a man around 50 years of age appeared before the ruin entrance. As soon as he arrived, the crowd erupted into a heated discussion.

"Is that?" A youngster cried.

"Yes, no doubt!! The 3rd Sun of the Human Union – Guardian Faust. What is such a powerful figure doing here?!!"

"Why did the human union send one of their Sun Guardian to oversee such a low-level ruin, isn't a random moon guardian enough?" Another youngster commented.

"Is something bad going to happen?"

"Whatever the reason may be, the human union is doing all it can to protect this ruin. Since they even sent the sun guardian, we don't have to worry about anything." An expert from the group which Gin followed, commented.

Even the peoples from the core regions were perplexed as their superior didn't mention anything about this. Meaning, even their superiors didn't know.

Hearing the discussion, Gin knows the person who arrived is a famous figure even among the peoples of the core regions. He curiously scrutinized the old man before him.

Guardian Faust is wrapped in an olive green mandarin coat that reached his knee and wore dark blue pants. The most eyecatching thing about his attire is the insignia printed on his back; a golden triangle with the blazing sun at its core.

Every 'Sun' of the human union is powerful figures while their strength reached the peak of the Seal destruction stage.

Even so, from Guardian Faust, Gin didn't sense any kind of aura or strength. He looked like that of a normal old man with some grey hairs who can be seen in every street.

Guardian Faust didn't waste any time by greeting or introducing himself. He directly went to the point that everyone wants to hear.

"From what we know, it's a pretty huge ruin with all kinds of dangers and traps. Even more so, it can only be explored by people under seal opening stage."

"An advice to peoples above physique enrichment stage; don't try to force your way in, you will die. There's a restrictive array placed at the entrance, which prohibits others from entering, even Seal Destruction masters are no exception. So don't try."

"From what we explored, your first stop will be the gravity mountain; It's a test that only talented and determined peoples can cross. We don't know what comes after the Gravity mountain, as no one cleared it yet."

"Since we haven't explored much, we can't say for sure about anything. It's in your hands to explore the ruin and get the maximum benefit out of it."

"It may be 2-star ruin or maybe even higher level ruin with many inheritances, so the possibility of danger is even higher."

"The only thing that we request is if you discover any cultivation techniques please share a copy of it. We will compensate you for that."

"Apart from that, whatever you discover inside the ruin will be yours; the human union won't ask you to hand anything over after you come out. You can report any such activity to us and strict action will be taken."

After patiently explaining the information about the ruin, Guardian Faust waved his hand and the crystal-like thing blockading the entrance melted away.

"Now you all can enter!"

Hearing Guardian Faust's words, everyone's expression brightened and they all moved towards the ruin entrance with expectation.

At the same time, somewhere in the inner regions of the Northern Wildlands. A pitch-black, ring-shaped tear emerged, it looked like a portal that connected the abyss itself.

The aura emanating from the other side of the tear is dark, insidious and gloomy. Even the brightly illuminated area around the tear suddenly dimmed and everything around it withered.

An unfortunate magical beast with five cores which was in the vicinity also wrestled with the same effect, soon its entire body decayed, leaving behind a mummified skin and tendons.

"Kakaka, it feels good to be back on the human continent. I want to taste some fresh blood." A 7-feet tall, pale-skinned man came out of the tear along with another man who had tanned-skin and blonde hair.

Both of them were worn leather-like warrior outfit, tailored made for combat which perfectly suited them.

"Orfeo, I got the news that the human union sent their 3rd Sun - Faust. We need to be careful, you know how important this ruin is to us, right?" The blonde-haired man spoke.

"Shut up, Rath. I know, can't I just enjoy the fresh air for a few minutes!" Orfeo coldly replied.

"No," replied the blond-haired - Rath, while Orfeo snorted. Shortly after the two arrived, numerous figures emerged from the portal and stood behind them.

If someone with good knowledge about Fiends were here, they would be shaken up as most of the Fiends here are famous in an evil way.

Just hearing any one of the Fiend names would instill fear among human hearts. It's just how notorious the arrived Fiends are.

Humans classified the Fiends into a different category according to their strength and level of danger; Fiend Lord, Fiend King, Fiend General, Fiend Commander, Fiend Soldiers, and Fiend Minions.

The strongest of the Fiend is none than Fiend Lord, followed by four Fiend Kings. These five are the most powerful beings among the fiends with inconceivable strength and power.

Apart from the first three 'Suns', the other 'Sun Guardians' of the human union can only flee if they meet any Fiend Kings, it's how strong they are.

Fiend Generals - a Fiend can only become a 'general' only after destroying seven hidden seals. So, all the Fiend Generals are the strongest beings in the Seal Destruction stage.

The exact number of Fiend Generals is unknown, but till now the human union knew of 24 generals.

Fiend Commanders - All the Fiends who reached the Seal destruction stage will directly become Commanders. Exact numbers are unknown, but it's estimated there are more than 20,000 Fiend Commanders.

Fiend Soldiers - Fiends who are all in the Seal Opening stage is called Fiend Soldier.

Fiend Minon - Every Fiend below the Seal Opening stage is called Minion.

Their way of cultivation is the same as humans, apart from their Fiend cultivation technique which grants them super strength, speed, and powerful regenerative abilities.

It doesn't mean humans are weak, there are some hidden powers in the human continent which even Fiends dread. There's a reason why Fiends don't have open war with humans.

What's shocking is, the first two figures who appeared from the portals are none other than Fiend Kings whose strength is just below the Fiend Lord.

The Fiend Kings who came this time are 'Orfeo' and 'Rath', often called by their human given titles as Night King and Ghost King.

Not only that, accompanying the two Fiend kings were 12 Fiend Generals, 100 or so Fiend Commanders, 1,000 peak Fiend Soldiers and more than 10,000 Fiend minions.

Such line up is unheard of!! Even when they came to assassinate the late president of the human union; only two Fiend Kings and 4 Generals came.

From this, even a fool could tell Fiends came here for the ruin and there's something in the ruin which they badly want.

"King Rath, we just received a report that the ruin is opened!" A general reported.

Rath or Ghost King seemed to be in his thirties with charming appearance; blonde hair, silver eyes, and tanned skin. He's the perfect example for the phrase 'appearance can be deceptive', since his actual age reached three hundred plus.

Unlike Ghost King, Night king looked pale, thin and weak. Even his sinister and wicked personality vastly differed from Ghost king's calm and rational one.

"Sir Night King, I think humans already know that we will appear since they even sent one of their 'suns'." said a Fiend who's in the Physique Enrichment stage.

He looked different from other fiends, oozing with an air of genius and fighting spirit.

"Kakaka, of course, they know about it. But they won't expect we will visit with such a strong line-up. Little Zhyler, watch how this king plays with them." Orfeo laughed.

"Zhyler, if you start to learn all the arrogant things from Orfeo, I doubt you will ever meet our Lord's expectation of breaking your mortal constraints and becoming a transcendent," Rath grunted.

"Rath, you can't expect out little Zhyler to cultivate all the time. He has to experience other things like the pleasure of killing, toying beautiful women and so on."

"I will report your teachings to the Lord, he can decide whether it's right or wrong. Now, we have a job to finish," Rath spoke and glanced at all the Fiend minions.

"Fiend Minions—your job is to successfully enter the ruin as soon as we reach the location. There will naturally be human powerhouses to stop you all from entering, but we will take care of that."

"You can enjoy as you like in the ruin, but don't forget your primary task given by the Lord. Let's go!" Rath stated.

Under Orfeo and Rath's leadership, all the fiends marched towards the location of the Ruin.
