When she heard Stuart's question, Edie understood that Stuart was so angry because she had gone to see Donald after all he had done to her. "It was because he suddenly took it back, I wanted to know why?" she explained. "Then he told me the necklace was not for sale, and that was the reason why I went there alone."
Edie felt that her explanation was reasonable, and if it did not immediately make Stuart's mind at ease, then at least it would not heighten his anger. As soon as she had finished, Stuart seemed even angrier. He hit the door panel behind her, and it made a loud thud that made Edie shiver.
She had explained everything to him, and now he was even angrier. Edie looked at Stuart doubtfully, "What's the matter with you?" He looked at her, coldly, "Edie, why do you not believe me?" Edie subconsciously denied, "I do believe you."
