"Have you been taking your meds routinely as we last discussed?"
"Yes, Doctor. I am running out. There are enough for three days." Noah takes out the orange bottle and rattles it to check.
The doctor, over the phone, profoundly sighs, "You'll need to get another check-up to see if it's been reduced. Will tomorrow work for you?"
It takes Noah a moment to think about his plans when he answers, "can I go early in the morning?"
"Sure, that will work for me. I don't have any surgeries scheduled then. However, don't tell me you have yet to reveal this matter to Belen?"
"Yes… It's my problem. She shouldn't have to know. Please don't mention anything about it to her, doctor."
"Confidentiality, Mr. Alvares. You are my patient. If you don't want anyone to know, I won't say anything. I'll see you tomorrow morning. But, first, I suggest you get a good night's rest."
