Life as a Trainer 4

Philip was dashing toward Austin very fast. He seemed overly excited for some reason. Finally Philips reached Austin but he couldn't speak. He was busy gasping for air causing Austin to laugh.

"This is what happens when you rush. What is so important that you need to get here in a panic to tell me." Austin says.

"It seedot it evolved just a few moments ago." Philip said excitedly. He then called out his newly evolved nuzleaf.

"Nuzleaf!" It roars.

"That's really amazing! did it give you any trouble?" Austin asked after a brief moment of surprise.

Philip just answered that it didn't give him any issue. Austin was amazed that it evolved so quickly. They chatted for a bit and then nuzleaf challenges eevee to a duel. Eevee agreed and fought with full force. Nuzleaf lost again. It wasn't distraught though, because Philip took care of it and even encouraged it. Philip then separated from Austin.

Austin thought back to his Pokémon's strengths. He decided to let them prolong the time for evolution as they were still young. Austin finished the training and fed his Pokémon. Then he went to the Pokémon center to heal them.

After healing his pokemon, Austin went back to the training ground. He called out his Pokemon and told them to relax. He even let togepi out of the pouch. Togepi was annoyed at first but forgot about it as it began to play with Torchic and eevee. Austin then began to play around with all that tech stuff as Ginnette called it.

Of course if Austin's Pokemon we can't forget about Onix the crystal monstrosity. Austin's onix also learned many move sets. It mastered what it knew from rock throw, rock blast, rock slide, dig, earthquake, rock polish stealth rock, bind, sand tomb, and harden. It was a high level near the elite. Austin wanted it to have stronger moves. It was taught rock tomb to block enmities from escaping. Austin also taught it dragon breath. Other moves it was taught iron tail, stone edge, double edge, smack down. As a finisher it was taught hyper beam.

Austin worked on onix and it even learned more than his other Pokemon. Austin attributed it to the fact most of the rock type and ground type are similar. It might also be to onix's age being older than the other Pokémon.

Austin was disappointed that he didn't find any diamond steel but he wouldn't give up easily.

Another two months passed with the same routine. Austin enjoyed this steady life style. Many changes happened in this month. The first was that Hugo and Ginnette officially moved out. Jacob also found a place and moved out. Only Phillip and Austin remain in the barracks now.

Ginnette's hoppip evolved into a skiploom. No other Pokémon evolved but Hugo went and caught a rufflet. Ginnette also caught Pokemon one caterpie and a lilipup. Austin didn't catch anything new and remained training his current Pokémon.

Philip was improving rapidly and managed to catch a geodude but this one was mutated. It had thunder attribute as well (for those who don't know it is part of some new game they are called alolan form.). The league were also surprised and studied it for a bit. After making sure Phillip tamed it, the league gave him the info they found and left him be.

The league felt that this years rookies were very talented. At least all of them will reach B-rank. One showed talent with A-rank, Austin was the s-class secret talent that only the top in the league new about. Jacob's Pokemon were really well trained especially his poochyena. Austin had a battle and his eevee won by a close margins.

Austin's Pokemon also became stronger. Austin noticed that the difficulty in raising a Pokémon's stats toward a hundred was harder. Eevee only had speed read ninety. Surprisingly torchics speed also reached ninety due to its speed boost ability. Torchics hidden power was fire type and onix was steel type. Togepi didn't learn it yet. It was mostly enjoying its life and feeding of the feelings of happiness. In a way that was training.

Austin kept on doing missions and leaving the gates everyday to feed his onix. Today was like any other day except that a C-tank trainer came to meet Austin.

"Are you the rumored mission demon? I need your help in completing a C-tank mission. My luck wasn't good and all the easy and safer missions were taken. The mission I took was to defeat a high ranked ryhorn in the mine field. We will leave right now if you agree."??? Said.

"Who told you about me? How can you be sure a rookie like me can help?" Austin probed.

"Oh forgive me my name is Leo and I'm Fred's younger brother. Our parents were trainers but passed away on a mission. He recommended you as he felt you were the strongest of the rookies." Leo said honestly. It can be seen that he was really worried of this mission.

"Ok I'll help you with this mission. This way I can experience a C-rank mission. Oh why did you have to take this mission. Couldn't you have rested for the day and took something easier tomorrow." Austin asked after accepting the mission.

"It my luck I took a few weeks not doing a mission to relax and train my Pokemon. But apparently if a C-class trainer doesn't complete a C-rank mission within a month, then they will be fined. The missions issued must be completed to ensure the cities safety and functionality. So there has to be punishment like the rewards. Plus this is the only restriction trainers are generally free." Leo explained.

Austin nodded he understood and asked to check the mission information. He then asked for a map and the types of Pokemon Leo had. Then he began to plan for this mission.

Smh I have many people coming today as well and I’m expecting some tomorrow. I we’ll release five chapters after that. I’ll try to release as much as possible.
