'After all that time, I end up back here ?', said the girl.
I understood that something not good was happening. The girl looked irritated by the thing she was talking about.
'Um...can we help you ?', I asked.
'No. I don't think so', said the girl, politely.
'What were you talking about ? To.... yourself', said Leaf, curiosity filled her tone
'The thing is, I had to go to Cerulean City and the quickest way is Mount Moon. But I was stuck for a while and came out from the way I entered', said the girl.
Well, I understand that problem. Happened to me alot when I entered a maze in Seaform Islands.
'That's not good', I said.
'I know', said the girl.
'Come on, we are going to Cerulean City. You can come with us', said the girl.
'Thank you. But-', the girl was interrupted by Leaf.
'Come on', said Leaf.
The girl was convinced and was left with no other choice than to come with us. We walked inside Mount Moon.
It was huge. The light was dim inside but was enough to see without any problem.
'So why are you both going to Cerulean City ?', asked the girl while we walked.
'Gym Battle', I said.
'Pokemon Trainers ?', said the girl. She had no doubt that we weren't trainers.
'Um,yeah', said Leaf.
'And you ?', asked Leaf.
'My uncle lives there. I live in Viridian City and do a lot of bug catching with my dad. He wanted me to do some fishing too', she said.
'So your uncle is a fisherman ?', I asked.
'Yes, he is', she said.
'Great', said Leaf.
'My dad wanted me to take his Chuchu with me and catch a Pokemon for myself', she continued.
'Chuchu ?', I asked with a smile. The name was funny infact.
'Pikachu, she is the cutest Pokemon', she said.
'Oh. I have a Pikachu too. He is also my dad's. Well, his nickname is Pika but I prefer calling him Pikachu', I said.
'Nice', she said.
'Great. Pikachu lovers', said Leaf.
'Hey let's send them out. My Pikachu has never met another Pikachu', I said.
'Same with mine', said the girl.
We sent our Pikachus out of their Pokeball. The both Pikachus started talking something in their.....Pikachu language.
'Oh, so cute', said the girl.
Suddenly, my eyes scrolled to some yellow coloured translucent ball kept on the ground. I walked towards it and pointed the Pokedex towards it.
'An item to be held by a Pikachu that raises special attack statistics. Touching it may cause a shock', explained the Pokedex.
'What's that ?', asked Leaf.
'Pikachu, try to touch it', I said.
It would be amazing if Pikachu had stronger attacks. I could defeat anyone in Pokemon battle.
'Is that a-? No, don't touch it', said the girl, shouting.
But Pikachu already did. The orb was absorbed by Pikachu, his eyes flashed red and then turned black. He was angry with no reason. I was terrified to look in his eyes. He looked evil.
Blue sparks came out of his red cheek sacs and it seemed like he was going to give us a shock and he did. It was so painful to have a Thundershock from your childhood buddy. Pikachu ran away in full speed. I couldn't even see him. He was gone in a flash.
'Pikachu ?', I shouted. 'What is happening to him ?'.
'The Light Ball is doing this, he absorbed it. It cannot be reversed', said the girl.
'Will Pikachu be like this forever ?', said Leaf.
'No. If you try to bring his emotions out, the bad affects of the light ball will be gone forever', said the girl.
'And how do I do that ?', I asked.
'Talk to him. The real him', said the girl.
'Where can I find him ?', I asked.
'Call out his name', she said.
'Him. Where are you him ?', I shouted.
'Uh...she meant Pikachu', said Leaf.
'Oh. Pikachu', I shouted.
He was gone. There was no way that I could find him, I mean Pikachu. Tears filled my eyes, my head was facing down. Then, I looked straight up with confidence, trying to control my tears from getting out of the eyes.
My eyes again scrolled to some footprints that were exactly a Pikachu's. Without another word, we followed the footprints. I ran as fast as I could, maybe even faster but that was the only way we could find Pikachu.
While we followed the footprints, after a few minutes, we heard a scream. It was some man's, It was shockingly scary.
'Aaaahhhhhhh', the man shouted in fear.
We immediately ran without even thinking.
Pikachu was thunderbolting a man who was trying to light some lamps in a dark passage.
'Pikachu. Listen to me, you don't have to do this, you don't have to hurt anyone', I explained.
Pikachu didn't even listen but now, he turned towards us and used Thundershock. I was glad that he didn't use Thunder (otherwise we'd be toast right now and Pikachu would be spreading fruit jam on us).
'Pikapikachu', said the girl's pikachu - Chuchu.
'Pika', said my Pikachu in anger.
They said something that I didn't understand. It just made Pikachu angrier and he used Thunderbolt on Chuchu who then fainted.
'Chuchu', said the girl, in a caring way. She sobbed with Chuchu in her arms. Chuchu flashed purple and was back to health. That was a true example of a miracle.
'Pikachu, remember me ? I know you can hear me, just listen and try to take control. You can fight it, I know you can. You just have to trust me', I said while slowly walking towards Pikachu.
Well, those were a couple of old dialogues but they came from my heart. I was miserable after seeing Pikachu like that.
Pikachu shook his head, his angry face slowly became happy and he said,'Pika'. He fainted after saying Pika, in a sad tone but with a happy face.
I smiled. Pikachu fell on the ground, I took him in his arms and we travelled back to the PokeCentre outside Mount Moon.
Our Pokemons were fully healed. The girl and Leaf didn't say anything about it. They were terrified to see Pikachu like that.
We had to continue to reach Cerulean City as soon as possible.
Today's experience with the Light Ball wasn't good but I believe that it helped Pikachu with some critical attacks and hits.
