Stolen Ice Cream and the Evil Cat

It was already past noon when Athena Hexie Wu woke up from her deep slumber. She could hear birds chirping, and some summer insects crying out some mating calls outside her balcony.

"Ahh...such a nice day to lazy around ohohoho~"

She has grown accustomed to this body's weird laugh.

After stretching and tidying up her bed, she grabbed some fresh clothes, her fave tracksuit, and some regular bra and underwear and immediately went to the bathroom to do her post-waking up rituals.

She felt sticky with the hot summer air in this afternoon. Geeze these last days of summer was really hot. So it was not a good idea to go out or she'll burn to crisp! But inside the house was very cool. The trees planted in their backyard was giving abundant shade, so it was nice to lounge in the kitchen while eating cold foods.

Her dominant hand was injured so no mixed martial arts practice today. She was more than happy to inform her trainer.

Athena Hexie Wu decided to stay inside and relax. Today is the last day of her summer vacation, and tomorrow will be the start of her second year as a pre-med student at the International College for the Elites University.

She's been in this novel-world for almost 1 year and a half now. And time sure flies fast, Athena Hexie mused. She dried her hair and put it up in a lazy bun.

After doing all her morning routine, she checked her phone and realized it's battery was drained.

"Ah curses. I'm getting forgetful lately..." she murmured as she rummaged through her bag to get the powerbank.

|WU TECHNOLOGIES| logo was easily seen on the device. This was one of the first gift she received from her genius uncle who works there, Li Lifen's youngest brother, Li Huiliang.

Hexie once visited Hera Wu-Choi's workplace and had a tour around, they call the building as Wu Laboratories. She was there as Hera's lab rat on her cousin's new Diet Juice.

That's where she met Uncle Li Huiliang, who was working there as the Head of the Computer Engineering Department, and was overseeing the tests for the prototypes of various Video Game machines for the Wu Casinos. The other scientists were testing the Dance Dance Machine and it was funny.

Ever since that day, she would also paid her genius uncle a visit, and would sometimes give him ideas. Lots of ideas.

"Uncle Huiliang, what if you invented Computer Game Softwares? Where many players could play it from their own computers. Or maybe a Mobile Game?"

"Hmmm...that would be hard."

"Oh that's..."

"Don't get slumped, Hexie-er! AHAHA! It would be hard but not impossible! I will consider that idea of yours. Hmm yes. We should plan more details." He was eager at the challenge. Nothing was impossible to him.

"Hexie-er!" Uncle Huiliang suddenly shouted.

Athena Hexie Wu smiled at the memory. She has yet to use the gadgets he have sent from the other day. She not only helped Wu Corps gain profit, but she also have satisfied her tech-savvy cravings.

After putting on her bunny slippers, Hexie went downstairs and made a beeline towards the kitchen with the charging phone in her pocket.

"Good afternoon Nanny Lin! What are you doing?" Hexie waved as she walked towards the kitchen bar.

"Good afternoon Third Young Lady! I'm harvesting the beans but Oh please use indoor voice!" Nanny Lin greeted her from the garden. The old lady was holding a basket.

The sliding door towards the backyard was open, a mixture of cool and hot air could easily flow in and out.

"Ooh finally! Please cook them for dinner~"

Nanny Lin accepted her Third Young Lady's request.

A year ago, their Third Young Lady did not even eat a single vegetable, but now, she doesn't only eat them, she also grows them! Marriage life sure does change people. Nanny Lin beamed at her young mistress. Madam Lifen would be proud at her daughter's development.

The red haired girl ate her brunch that was already ready at the kitchen's bar counter. It's where she usually eat since she lived alone in this house with Nanny Lin. She loved how her legs dangled in the high chairs.

She opened her phone and it buzzed with notifications. She almost choked when she saw the trending news.

After washing the dishes, she checked on the fridge for a cookies and cream flavored ice cream that she bought 2 days ago. She looked at the bottom compartment where she placed it beside the a half empty bottle of red juice. The red diet juice was Hera Wu's gift to her. It was the secret as to why she maintains her weight eve after eating so much. It was the most perfect slimming diet juice made for Wu Hexie's body type after so many trials and vomiting at the Wu Laboratories.

Every week, Hexie would get a supply of this diet juice. The taste was complicated, but it was generally sweet and fruity with beetroots as it's main component.

She will pig out today with her secret stash of junk foods starting with her favoriteconfort food; COOKIES AND CREAM ICE CREAM. And wallow in sadness due to the fact that she's ruining this novel-world's plot.

'I'm so sorry Main Female Lead Yang Xiuyeng!' But her train of thoughts was interrupted.

"Eh? Why is it lighter than usual?" Hexie mumbled to herself when she finally found the small tub of ice cream.

Her heart almost sank when she saw the insides of the ice cream tub. Most cookies were eaten by someone. And that someone only left a spoonful of ice cream for her to eat which was almost melting.

"Nooooo! My ice cream!" Hexie wailed like a child. She dejectedly closed the refrigerator and ate the remaining ice cream gloomily.

Then she heard a familiar hiss. She turned around and saw a handsome man carrying the white evil cat.

"Hmm so it seems, my cat Queen Elizabeth the second, doesn't like you, I trust your judgment kitty..." The man smirked.

"Choi Kazuki..." Athena Hexie Wu stood aghast.

"Wu Hexie." He nodded.

Athena Hexie stood on her spot for a second and remembered here melted ice cream.

"You...have you eaten my Cookies and Cream Ice Cream!?"

Hexie can't help but be upset with the scary guy. She knows Nanny Lin would never touch her beloved food, so the sole culprit must be this Dragon-Phoenix Heir.

Bother her with anything just don't eat her beloved foods in the refrigerator.

"Oh that. It wasn't even palatable, the cookies were probably the only thing edible in that sorry excuse of an ice cream," Choi Kazuki said without changing his stoic expression.

"Besides it's a small payment for kicking my pet cat out of the house last night."

"EH?! That evil cat is your pet?!" Hexie was shocked.

"Yes. A gift from the royal family of Diamond Country. And she is adorable not evil. Choose your words wisely Wu Hexie, or you'll get scratched."

Athena Hexie Wu still couldn't control her emotions when it comes to food, forgetting that this guy holds her future.

"You shouldn't eat other people's food! I was saving that ice cream for today, my cheat day for the week!"

"Cheat Day?" Choi Kazuki's perfect brow arched upwards.

"Oh it's a diet thing--hey don't change the subject! Buy me another one! You ice cream stealer!"

Wu Hexie walked towards him with an accusing spoon--er finger.

'Oh freak. What am I doing?! Arguing with this scary heir who have the capability to ruin her future!' Wu Hexie mentally slapped herself. But it was too late for her.

Choi Kazuki was still holding his cat. When Queen Elizabeth the second felt an unfamiliar aura getting closer to her human, she was on guard. She was squirming in Kazuki's hold. Once the red haired girl was in close proximity with a spoon used as a sword, the cat leaped hoping to scratch the person. She has to protect her human! But the red haired girl pulled back her body as reflex, making the cat only scratching the girl's upper clothes.

The unexpected happened. It was like in the movies where the time slows down. The cat's sharp claws were stuck at the girl's tracksuit zipper. Kazuki hastily pulled his pet cat away from Hexie.

"Wait! Don't pull--" Hexie protested but it was too late and Kazuki was not aware of the situation.

The zipper opened as Kazuki pulled his cat away from the girl.

The two were frozen from their spot; one was holding a cat with it's claws bearing a broken piece of zipper with some clothe hanging around it, the other was clutching what was left of her sweater with, front torso exposed to the sunlight.

"Oh my..sexy time? Aiya kids these days, doing it in the kitchen!" They heard Nanny Lin's voice at the open glass sliding doors.

"AAAAAH YOU PERVERT ICE CREAM STEALER!!"

Wu Hexie immediately covered herself meanwhile Kazuki turned away, still holding his pet cat which was tryingto escape. Her fave tracksuit's zipper was gone thanks to the evil cat.

"I...did not see anything but fats," Kazuki huffed. Kazuki didn't even saw her chest as he was fixated on something else.

Feeling humiliated, Wu Hexie ran to her room.

"CURSE YOU PERVERT AND YOUR EVIL CAT!" She yelled from the second floor.

"Aiya. Did I ruin the mood?" Nanny Lin asked, the old lady was on a different level.

"Oh no. I think you misunderstood the situation, Lin-san. My cat, Queen Elizabeth the second, accidentally scratched Wu Hexie's sweater..." Kazuki explained what happened to the old lady.

He was not going to let this situation go out of hand and bring the attention to his mother nor his mother in law. He does not want to hear strange things about giving them grandkids.

"Call me up when it's time for dinner. I'll be heading to my room," Kazuki dismissed himself. Nanny Lin bowed.

Kazuki growled when he walked past Wu Hexie's room. He found out his beloved pet cat ruffled outside earlier this morning. And Wu Hexie was the one who let the cat out since she was the last person who entered the house. He had to take Queen Elizabeth the second to a vet to make sure it was fine. And the meeting with their agency earlier gave him a headache.

Choi Kazuki never saw a glimpse of the girl for the rest of the day. And the following days.
