Audrey had tears In her eyes when she came out of Lucas's office.
Clara noticed them and tried to talk to her but Audrey practically ran away from the office and since she was done with her duties for that day she ran out of the firm.
"Damn asshole!" Audrey shouted in frustration as she drove on high speed.
She screamed a gut wrenching scream that ended up giving her a headache but it calmed her after.
When she got home she threw her bag on the bed and slumped down on the floor. Then she cried to her heart fill refusing to either eat or drink.
Lucas was succeeding in breaking her. She could feel it. Her heart felt like it had almost been torn out of her chest. She wanted to tear it out completely, to stop the pain completely.
She didn't know what to do now. If she stopped going to work then Lucas will think that he has succeeded in pushing her to the edge.
He will think that she was a coward. it was not as if she should care what he thought or did not think, she shouldn't but she did. Even though it hurt her to admit it she did care about what Lucas thought about her.
She had to grow a tough skin because she was going back to work the next day whether the devil liked it or not. Damn Lucas! He won't break her.

"You look like you are about to kill someone." Michael said, dropping his suit case on the floor. He just returned from his travel to see Audrey sitting on the bed looking dishevelled and angry. Very angry. "Hopefully that someone is not me."
Audrey was scrolling past channels whilst pressing the remote like it annoyed her which it did. In fact everything was annoying her.
"Maybe I am about to kill someone." She replied not sparing Michael so much as a glance.
Michael snickered almost laughing. Whenever Audrey was angry she behaved like a kid.
Michael took of his shoes then he climbed the bed.
He knelt behind Audrey and massaged her shoulders slowly and sensuously. At first she kept moving not wanting him to touch her. But anytime she moved Michael would steady her with his hands and continue his smooth calming rendition on her shoulders.
Soon enough Audrey started to relax and Michaels hands went all the way down to her back giving her the same pleasure he was giving to her on her shoulders. His sole aim was to make her loosen up. He didn't like seeing her moody.
Michael had sensed that it was work making his wife angry. What else would? He had heard about the sudden arrogance of Lucas but he never thought that Lucas would transfer his aggression to Audrey.
Now he knows better.
"Don't ever forget that you are my wife. That you are Queen." Michael whispered in her ears. "Don't let anyone make you feel otherwise."
Audrey nodded, drawing his head in for a kiss. Michael leaned in and kissed her.
"Now tell me all that happened today at work." Michael said in the kiss.
"You go first." Audrey urged patting the side of the bed close to her. Michael took the hint and sat down besides her. "So tell me did you nail the contract?"
Michael scoffed. "Of course I did. Your husband is a genius."
Audrey chuckled and face palmed. "Arrogant bastard. You are so full of yourself."
Michael threw his head back in laughter and Audrey laughed too. He wrapped his hands around her and pecked her cheek. "You rock baby!"
