Cradle Snatcher

Xander looked at his wife, who was in deep slumber. Lovingly, he caressed her cheek and muttered, "Darling, I have to go now."

He sighed while he dwelled on her beauty for a few more minutes. Yera told him to wake her up before leaving. He chuckled, recalling how his wife tried hard to fight the urge to close her heavy eyelids just awhile ago. She did not want to sleep so she could send him off, at least to the outside of the mansion.

Xander did not wake her up and planted a gentle, sweet kiss on her lips before he quietly left the room.

It was already midnight. Although he wanted to stay longer but they could not risk it besides, there was still a lot more to do before the trial started.

He went down and saw Chad with Rui, Dion and his father in the living room area.

"Hey, why are you all here and not sleeping yet? Didn't we already say our goodbyes last night?" Xander spoke, looking at the three men with knitted brows.
