Planning for the new CEO

After spending her entire day finishing the work that's piling on the desk, she finally had some time to breathe. And it was only then she realize it's close to midnight. Derek end up sleeping on the sofa making her smile. At the other corner she saw two containers filled with her lunch and dinner. Untouched. Derek must have left it there after he failed to get her to stop working. She was about to get up when the door to her office open and Derek immediately woke up, taking defensive stance in front of her.

"I can see you're doing a fine job digging your grave." Tristan enter along with Caleb who's not looking happy seeing the untouched food. She grimaced. She didn't manage to hide the food and it's too far for her to reach. She shot a glance to Derek for being tattler.

"Don't bother to look at Derek. It's his job to make sure you eat on time and not to overworked yourself. You didn't even realize he called us during that time." Caleb start to nag.

"More like video call us. We can see you've buried yourself to the endless work acting like there's no tomorrow. If you listen to us, you should have let Zeus to handle all of this."

"If Zeus were to handle it, then it would ruin the plan." She retorted.

"No. It's mainly because you're stubborn enough to do it on your own and you've been denying what you think we don't know." Tristan replied. Aurora went quiet. Probably the reason she kept on making excuses after excuses is because something that she doesn't want to have finally start creeping inside her heart.

"You know i can't have that in my life. It's enough to be living in a dream. To make it into a reality, i don't want to put too much hope in it." Gloomily, she looked outside the big window where the city lit up the darkness.

"If you listen to us and let Caleb give you the medicine then you can make it into a reality."

"Stop thinking negatively. Won't you think of us? What would we do without you? Didn't you say i can cure you? You're looking down on me aren't you?" Caleb flicked her forehead making her frown.

"I know. I'll let Zeus handle the rest. And i'll take over when it's not so busy." Aurora finally concede.

"Great. For now, let's go home. Eat your dinner and rest. You don't have to go to work tomorrow. I'll let Zeus know." Tristan start packing her things and drag her out.

"Can we stop there first?" She asked. Tristan nodded knowing full well where she meant. That guy better treat her well when he wakes up later.

In the most exclusive bar, Mason was clenching his fist after unable to get anything about the new CEO. The seductive lady sense something amiss looked up and gave a kiss on his lip. His attention turn towards Elaine. Some might know the lady as Cole's childhood sweetheart. The most beautiful, elegant and noble lady who's on the same level as Cole. The perfect wife material for Cole. But for those who truly knew her, she's just a tramp, cheating on Cole with his own cousin. The very person who's responsible on spreading ugly rumors and endless slandering towards Aurora back then.

"What's wrong? Grandpa Wayne still unwilling to give you the position?" she purred beside him. Touching his thigh making Mason excited.

"That damn old man gave the position to someone that we don't know. And none of us knew about this new guy. We should have kill him back then. Now, it's too late." Mason said grudgingly.

"What? After all that we've done and someone easily took over that position. This can't be." She gasped. Thinking how they were involved in Cole's accident only to find out he went into coma and now this. She should have deal with Mr Wayne. But his luck is too good. By the time she took action, Mr Wayne wasn't at home.

"We'll find out about the new CEO soon. And when that time comes, it's not that hard to make up another accident." Mason said sneakily. Elaine also smile before they shamelessly make out inside the private room. Ignoring the moaning and their intimate noise causes others to feel excited and uncomfortable.

Unknown to them, a man who was listening to their conversation from the beginning in the other room smile thinly. He thought of the mysterious CEO. It seems like things will get interesting since none of them find anything about the new CEO. It's impossible for Mr Wayne to be able to hide that info since he doesn't have that capability to do such. It must be the work of the new CEO. William couldn't wait to see who exactly he's dealing with. To have such a power to hide away his info from his grasp. Things will be interesting from now.
