What happened to everyone else?

[Atlas Interrogation Room #3]

Olga: I told you. I'm innocent.

Winter: An innocent person attacks Atlas military forces and helps a dangerous criminal escape onto the street. Do you take me for a fool?!

Olga: Look, I told you that someone took over my body. I was just minding my own business when I felt someone enter my mind. I tried forcing him out but he easily knocked my consciousness out and pushed me to the side. When I came to, I was already in handcuffs being taken away by you.

Winter: How convenient that someone took over your body to commit your crimes. They seem to have a similar personality to you as well.

Olga: Anybody can get information on me if they look hard enough and it's not like its hard to act like someone they're not. We all wear masks, after all, to disguise and hide our true feelings. Everybody's the same and your no exception to the rule. I wonder though, what kind of mask you're wearing and who's it for. Enough joking around though, you should have various records regarding Dark Phantom. You probably know more about him than me. It was mostly him that took over my body. I mean who would do something so stupid as to help out a criminal in broad daylight using their own identity. I know that I wouldn't make such a foolish mistake.

Winter: We're done here.

Winter walks out of the room and Olga mutters something under his breath that the cameras in the room didn't pick up but if you looked at him carefully enough you could see the words, "Atlas scum" leave his mouth.

[Amber's POV]

I once again wake up thinking that I should be dead. Multiple times now, I've been saved and have given another chance to live. Even though I know I didn't see and was unconscious, I could tell. Jack came to save me and that alone makes me happy. I look around the room I was in and it seemed that this wasn't the inn that I slept in the night before. Unfortunately, Jack wasn't here to greet me with a smile and a mourning breakfast. I didn't get to tell him before that he was a pretty good cook as well.

I looked around the small room but there wasn't much around. The bed and what looks like a medicine cabinet were the only things in the room. There weren't any windows as well. I turn my attention to the door and see that it was one of those key card locks on the door. Does that mean that I couldn't leave the room? I got up and walked over to the door and turned the handle. As I expected, the door was locked. I looked around the room once again starting to panic a little. This time while scanning the room, I noticed a camera above where I was sleeping. Hold on a second, I still have my maiden powers, getting rid of a door like this should be easy. Right before I was about to bust down the door, the door opened and I was greeted by someone with white hair. I wonder if she had any relationship with Jack since he also had white hair, then again he had black hair as well. She led to another room where I was faced with a group of people I have never seen before. At the very least, they don't seem hostile at the moment.

Ozpin: Let me introduce ourselves, I'm the Headmaster of Beacon Academy and this is General Ironwood of the Atlas military forces to my left and to my right is the Headmistress Glynda. Also, the one who brought you here was Winter. I know you've been through a lot but if it's okay, I'd like to ask you a few questions about your situation.

Amber: Okay.

I sit down on the opposite side of the table and even though they don't say it. It feels more like an interrogation than anything else.

Ironwood: No need to feel nervous, everyone in this room wants what's best for you and the people of Remnant.

Ozpin: Amber, would you please tell us how your feeling at the moment?

Amber: Feeling?

Ozpin: Yes, you've sustained a bunch of injuries from someone, right. Could you tell us what happened?

Amber: When I was roaming through town, I was confident that I saw the people who almost killed me so I ran away. While I was running, I saw the one who gave me this car and shot a fireball at her. After that, I quickly fled and was pursued by this other woman in a high tech suit. She shot me down and when I woke up I was here.

Ironwood: Who were the people that attacked you?

Amber: I don't know any names but one of them was a green-haired, dark-skinned woman. The other was a man with prosthetic legs with gray hair and there was a woman with black hair with horrible piercing eyes.

Ozpin: I see. I would like to ask about the current condition of your power.

Amber: I don't have all of my power at the moment.

Ironwood: What do you mean?

Amber: The person who saved my life has the rest of my power.

Ironwood: I regret to inform you but the man who saved you is a wanted criminal who broke into Beacon Academy on multiple occasions and threatens the safety of students, staff, and yourself. Now, do you know anything regarding his identity?

There's no way I'm giving up Jack. He saved my life and there's no telling what will happen to him once he's caught.

Amber: No, I don't know anything regarding him.

Ozpin: If there is anything else you'd like to share, then now would be the time.

Amber: Nothing particularly noteworthy but what's going to happen to me from now on.

Ozpin: I would like to invite you to my school where I will train you to become more proficient at using your powers and allow you to protect yourself better against the forces of evil.

Amber: What if I refuse?

Ozpin: Well, history will most likely repeat itself once again.

I was struggling so hard to decide what to do. I thought hard over it and even when I was attacked, I mostly thought about running away. I need to become stronger to protect myself at the very least. I don't want to have to be saved by other people. I think that I made my decision, Jack. It's a shame that I couldn't give you my answer first.

Amber: I accept.

Ozpin smiled at her and told her that she'll be working hard from now on. Maybe, the next time we meet, I'll be even stronger than you Jack.
