Chapter 79 - Interlude 1 - Shirou Dreams

Emiya Shirou want to be a Hero, that's was all he want when he was still a little kid. After he heard what Kiritsugu dreams is. And Shirou was doing all the thing that he can do to become one, like training his body diligently, learning martial art from Taiga and read a lot of books because Shirou realize to become a good Hero you need to be good in a lot of thing so he knew as a hero he also need to be a book smart.

But after five years of training there was something that making his can throw away his dreams to be a Hero. And that something was Matou Sakura, the girl who capture his heart. The girl who make him want to do anything to keep her safe even if he must to throw away his own dream.

But not only Matou Sakura that make him want to throw away his own dream. There are two other thing that made him realize that being a Hero was useless if he can even save the people that was precious for him.

The two other thing was Tohsaka Rin, and an old men named Zelterch. Rin was his first love and the girl he loved the most. Even though Sakura kindness and beauty making Shirou loved Sakura so deeply, but the first person that showing him that his goal of life was stupid and hollow was Rin that giving him a harsh words when he telling her that he want to become a Hero that can save the world and every single person in the world.

To know what kind of words that coming out of Rin mouth let's do a little flash back to the time when Shirou was in the third grade of middle school along with Rin.

In the time right after Shirou was doing his best in training his long jump. And Rin was helping him to bring back the training equipment to the equipment room.

Rin was asking something that made Shirou feel really surprised.

"Hey, Emiya-kun? Why are you training so hard even though your body was already full of bruised and you also feel really tired, why you just didn't give up and stop?"

"As someone who want to be a Hero that can save every single person in the world that need help. There is no way, I will give up because of a simple bruised and my body feel tired. If I giving up to strengthen my body only because of that then I don't have a qualification to be a Hero, Tohsaka."

Rin was admiring Shirou behaviour who refuse to give up to achieve his goal. But at the same time she also feel disappointed to Shirou because of the goal of his life.

Become a Hero that can save everyone in the world was sound stupid in her ears. Because for her it was impossible for a single individual to save every person in the world that need help.

For Rin, Shirou dreams was hollow and doesn't have a meaning at all. She can accept if Shirou only want to be an ordinary Hero that can save on the person that he can save, but if he want to be a Hero that can save every single person in the word that need help.

Then that mean Shirou was equating himself with a God, because only a God that can save everyone. And not everyone in this world are needed a help, so if Shirou was forcing himself to help someone that don't need a help that was mean Shirou was forcing his will to other people. And that action was broke the law of free will.

And when Shirou hearing all of that from Rin of course Shirou feel really angry because he cannot accept what Rin said to him at all.

But not long after he left Rin behind because he felt really angry to her because Shirou feel that Rin was mocking his dreams. A European old men that look in his seventies to eighties was appear in front of him and asking him why he look so angry.

"Tohsaka was mocking my dreams by saying that me who want to become a Hero of Justice that can save every single person in the world that need a help was the same as equating my self as a God! And she said to me that a Hero of Justice will never equating him or her self with a God because that was something that Hero of Justice would never do! And because of her words I left her behind! Because she dare to mocking my Noble Dreams to be a Hero of Justice that can save everyone that need a help!"

Zelretch the old men was sighing a bit and after that he smiling a bit. He knew Shirou was a very good person and only want to help a people that need a help. But sadly the trauma that he had because of Fuyuki fire making his way of thinking became twisted. Because he feel angry and guilty to himself that only him that was survive in Fuyuki fire when other people was die, that was the reason why Shirou love to help other people sincerely. To redempt to guilt that he feel deep inside his heart.

And the second reason why Shirou was twisted was because Shirou was admiring Kiritsugu the men who save him to the level of obsession. He want to become a second Kiritsugu and he want to achieved the goal that Kiritsugu can achieved at all.

"She was not wrong you know, why did you want to do something that impossible to achieve no matter what? No matter how hard you try to achieve your hard work. Saving every single person in this world was impossible? Did you think you can be in anywhere and everywhere at the same time?

Do you have ability to split your self into a seven billion pieces so that you can save seven billion people in the world? Impossible right? She saying all that words to you because she was care for you or maybe have a feeling for you if she doesn't care for you there is no way she saying something like that to you little boy.

And if you want to become a Hero of Justice it will be better if you starting it by trying to protect someone dear to you rather than trying to play God by trying to save everyone in the world and robbed their free will because of you selfishness who want to help them to become a Hero."

After saying that Zelretch telling his name to Shirou and then left him behind.

Zelretch words was making Shirou realized a bit that there was a truth in that words. But because of his stubborness that doesn't want to betray Kiritsugu way of life Shirou did not want to accept Rin and Zelretch words at all and keep thing that he who is right and everyone else was wrong.

Everything was changing when Sakura was come to his house when there was a big rain. Sakura eyes look dead and she really need a help from someone. Because she was come to the Emiya Residence with a body that full of wound and she also wet because of the big rain.

And then Shirou remember Zelretch words to him, about that he can start to become a Hero of Justice by saving someone that was dear to him. And for Shirou, Sakura was someone he loved. So he will save Sakura from a sadness, grief and every single thing that will hurt her so that he can become her Hero of Justice. Because after seeing Sakura condition finally Shirou fully realized that what Rin and Zelretch said to him was right.

He was boasting that he will become a Hero of Justice that can save everyone. But he who already knew that Sakura was raped and hit by Shinji every single days. But he didn't do anything to save Sakura from Shinji using a reason that he cannot involved in the trouble between a sibling. And his stubborness plus hypocrite making him cannot help Sakura when she need a help from him. And because of Sakura he was realizing the error in his way of life and how wrong is Kiritsugu obsession to become a Hero.

After he realizing his error. Finally he also realized that Rin was only want to helping him that days when she say a harsh words.

She was care for him, and when he was thinking about it he feel a warm in his heart who are beating really fast everytime Rin faces was appear on his mind.

Shirou didn't knew why he become like that at first when he thinking about Rin. But finally he realized that he falling in love with Rin when he accidentally reading a book about romance that Taiga left behind in the Emiya Residence...
