Why did Adrian seem so desperate? His relationship with the other telepath couldn't be good so why did he care about this so much?

Ivy supposed there was always curiosity for curiosity's sake. That was what landed her in this mess in the first place.

Carson's thoughts had been raging furiously beside her the entire time she and Adrian talked. He didn't like this at all and didn't want her to go and put herself in more danger when she was barely starting to get the hang of her new normal.

He had a point…but she wanted answers too. One more time shouldn't make a difference. She hoped.

"Alright. I'll go with you. We can go over the details later." Ivy wanted him to leave not only to lessen her exposure but also to get the chance to calm her friend down. It seemed like he was about to explode.

Adrian nodded before hurrying away. Now she had to deal with the fallout of that little conversation.
