"Rainnnnn!"

Malakas na sigaw ni Glaiza ng makita niyang itinulak ng bakulaw ang lalaki at kasabay sya nitong nahulog.

Her voice echoed in the silence of the night, na ikinalingon nila Sophia at Leo sa kinaroroonan ng naturang sigaw.

"Rain!"

Mahinang sambit nilang dalawa, but there's no Rain who anwered them in the communicator.

"I told him not to make any stupid moves!"

Nakatiimbagang na sabi ni Sophia, she step forward pero binigyan sya nang warning shot ng tauhan ni Mondejar, so Leo pulled her back.

"I know Rain is alright, we have to trust him!"

"What if—"

Natigil si Sophia ng makita sa mga mata ni Leo ang kasiguraduhan tungkol kay Rain.

She doesn't have to argue about it, she and Rain might stayed together but the bonds between brothers is incomparable.

They went inside uninvited and went straight in the roof top.

"You're not supposed to be in here, young master!"

"Shut up!"

Malakas na sigaw ni Leo sa mga tauhan ng kanyang ama.

"Give her to me and I give you what you want!"

"Hindi ako ang nagdidisisyon sa bagay na iyan!"

Tinutukan bigla ni Leo ang lalaki.

"Give my Mom—!"

"Don't make any drastic moves young man, kung gusto mo pang makasama ang iyong mama!"

"Don't listen to him Lee—makinig ka sa akin anak!"

Leo's mom interrupted them, she was shaking her head and crying. Mas natatakot ito sa kaligtasan ng anak kesa sa sarili niya.

"Did you bring him with you, baby?"

"Mom!"

Alanganin niyang sagot sa ina.

"Did you?"

"He's with us!"

Napahagulgol na sagot ni Leo. 

"He's with us, so let's end this. We'll going to tell him the truth when it's over!"

Napailing ito ng marinig ang kanyang sinabi habang panay ang pagtulo ng luha, hawak parin sya ng lalaki sa leeg at kasalukuyang nakatotok sa kanyang sentido ang baril nito.

"Stop it!"

Malakas na sigaw ni Mondejar, hindi man lang nila namalayan ang pagdating nito.

"No you're the one who should stop! Tigilan mo na ang anak mo sa lahat ng kahayupang ginagawa mo sa kanya!"

"You brought him into this world kaya kung may dapat man sisihin sa lahat ng ito it was you!"

Leo's mom smiled bitterly when she heard it, it's true na walang sino man ang dapat sisihin sa lahat kundi sya. 

Leo won't be in this hell if not because of her.

"Yeah. .so everything should end with me, is that what you supposed to meant?—alright!"

"Mom, please don't listen to him—"

"No baby, it's time for me to set you free!"

Leo's mom snap at hindi na pinatapos ang kanyang sinabi, when she saw Mondejar step closer towards her.

Bigla niyang itinulak ang lalaking may hawak sa kanya, dahil sa gulat nito nabitawan nito ang baril, she immediately picked it up and fired it up.

Leo and Sophia run in the other side to cover, nag paputok narin si Leo. They were now exchanging gunfires.

"Stop firing stop!"

Galit na sigaw ni Mondejar sa kanyang mga tauhan, but Leo's mom fired again.

"Mom, don't do this!"

"Mondejar, Lumabas ka! don't hide your tail—isa ka naman palang duwag!"

Pang iinis niya kay Mondejar, all she needs to do is provoke the bastard so she could take him in an open at ng matapos na ang lahat.

"Let's stop this, ok?"

"This is what you want kaya't ibibigay ko sa iyo?"

She said angrily and again randomly starts firing, Leo and Sophia was in an open sapce at maliit lang ang lugar na pinagtataguan nilang dalawa.

"I'm going to come with you Mr. Mondejar, please withdraw your men!"

Sophia said just to divert Mondejar's attention so Leo could get closer to his mom.

"Hindi ko alam na sensible ka palang bata if my son just think like you—"

Leo runs toward her mom pero dahil sa pagkagulat ng tauhan ni Mondejar bigla nalang nagpapaputok ang mga ito kay Leo. 

Leo's mom runs towards him and cover him with her own body, they both fell in the ground and everyone froze for a moment.

"Who fire the gun. .who fire?"

Naghuhurumintadong tanong ni Mondejar sa mga tauhan.

"I told you not to fire—you bastard!"

Anitong walang awang pinaputukan ang lalaki.

"Ma, are you ok?"

"I'm fine!" 

Nakangiti nitong sabi sa kanya, she had a shot in her stomach but it was not fatal, Leo apply pressure on it and make her sit.

"Don't move ma—"

"Stand up!"

Malakas na sigaw ni Mondejar kay Sophia, she was distracted kaya't hindi niya namalayan ang paglapit ni Mondejar sa kanya.

Sophia stood up and raise her hands.

"Take that briefcase!"

Utos ni Mondejar sa kanyang tauhan.

"Move!"

Meanwhile. .

Glaiza's still weeping because of Rain, kung kailan tapos na ang lahat saka pa biglang dumilim ang langit na tila nagbabadya ng ulan.

Malakas syang napahagulgol, sa isiping nakikiramay ang panahon sa pagkawala ni Rain.

"What have I done?"

Tanong niya sa kawalan, maya-maya nga ay nagsimula ng pumatak ang ulan. 

"Rain. .I'm so sorry!"

Napatingin siya bigla sa chopping blade na nakababa ng kalahati, she looked into the rope kung saan unti-unting nginangatngat ng apoy kanina.

"This one is half way through—"

ibig sabihin lang nito kahit sa kamatayan ng lalaki prenotektahan parin sya nito, aniya na napahagulgol na naman ng iyak.

Maya maya ay natigil sya sa pag iyak nang makarinig sya ng boses na parang nagmula sa kinailaliman ng lupa, then suddenly the rope drastically rolled na tila ba may humihila nito.

Natigil sya sa paghinga when she saw the blades suddenly drops, she scream as loud as she can habang nakapikit ang kanyang mga mata.

But before the blade chop her half, Rain suddenly showed up and pulled the rope with all his strength.

"Darn that was too close!"

Rain suddenly blurted out, Glaiza turn her head in the other side when she realized someones presence, when she saw it was Rain she turn her head again and close her eyes tightly.

"Rain. .if you're a ghost please don't scare me!"

"Ghost?"

Oh my! Why he's talking to me, ghost is not supposed to— bigla niyang naibaling ulit sa direction nito ang kanyang ulo but this time her eyes is wide open.

"Rain. .I'm really scared of ghost, you might as well kill me now so I could come to you if you think it's unfair to—"

"What ghost are you talking? Wake up nabagok ba yang ulo mo kung anu anong pinagsasabi mo?. .Geez!"

Inis na turan ni Rain sa babae, he's still alive pero multo na sya sa paningin nito.

"You're alive?"

"No I'm a ghost talking to a stupid girl like—"

"Then what are you waiting for help me right now!"

Glaiza snapped that make Rain shake his head.

"Stop shaking, you still don't realized how this things work? Eh antagal mo na kayang nakatali!"

"I did not have time to figure it out, all I know is when I make a little movements this darn blade will slowly drops down!"

Napatango si Rain, kung sya man sa position ni Glaiza. He could not focus also dahil ang tanging papasok lamang sa kanyang utak ay ang katotohanang mahahati sya sa dalawa.

This is a psychological torture! 

"By the way what happened to you?"

Naalalang tanong ni Glaiza.

"See. .the rope that attached in your hands and feet is served as the mechanism. The blade won't chop you in two if this rope I'm holding still attached into this rod." 

Rain said habang itinuturo ang bakal kung saan itinali doon ang naturang lubid.

"You still have a chance to escape alone if you just think straight. .what do you think is the purpose of this candle in here?"

"I don't know I'm not sure—"

Glaiza said in a matter of fact tone, wala naman talaga syang alam bukod sa kaalamang mahahati sya sa dalawa.

"Who ever did this is a nutjob!— I jumped right before the candle eats up the rope. See, as soon as this rope will be released the pulley that attached into this, will automatically rolled, that makes the rope that attached into your hands and feet expand, meaning itong lubid na ito ay mas lalo pang hihigpit at itataas ka ng isang pulgada from the ground before this blade drops!"

Glaiza gasped in horror ng marealized niyang tama si Rain, she would've been cut into half without knowing it.

"Boom. .you'll be cut in two with out even knowing it, I just realized how it works when that troll cut one of the rope, so I lured him out!"

"I owed you my life!"

Ani Glaiza na napahikbi na naman.

"Right. .so don't you dare die without my permission—Now move both your left feet and Right hand slowly when Im going to pulled this damn thing!"

Glaiza did exactly what Rain had instructed her to do. Nakawala na sya sa naturang kalbaryo at kasalukuyang palabas sa naturang lugar ng makarinig sila ng sunod sunod na putok ng baril.
