Expelled!

Nakaupo si Sophia sa ibabaw ng hood ng kanyang sports car habang pinag-mamasdan ang bagong paaralan.

It was a public school pero ang lupang kinatatayuan ng naturang pamantasan ay pag aari ni Mr. Ybañez, her very own grandfather.

She smiled bitterly, galing sya sa prestiheyosong paaralan before she was expelled three times. 

Sophia argued with her maternal grandfather to send her in a public school where no one knows her, pero nagmatigas ito kaya sinadya niya talagang ma kick out sa bawat paaralang pinili nito para sa kanya.

And this school might be her last chance after Don. Sebatian threatened her that he'll send her abroad instead.

"What the hell is this, young lady?"

Galit na galit na sigaw ni Don. Sebatian sa dalagang kampanting nakaupo na tila wala itong kasalanang nagawa. Don. Sebatian's face reddened in anger kung hindi lang siguro si Sophia ang kaharap malamang nasuntok na nito.

"You've been expelled for three times for God's sake!"

"I told you to send me in a public school.  ikaw lang naman ang matigas ang ulo, Lo' eh!"

"At kasalanan ko pa—"

"And besides do you really expect me to sit still while being bullied?" 

Napabuga ng hangin ang dalaga.

"That's freaking no way!"

"Ka dalaga mong tao but you beat those poor children like a thug? I really don't know what I'm going to do with you!"

Malakas na naihampas ng matanda sa mesa ang school reports ni Sophia.

"Those jerk deserved—"

natigil sya habang pinagmamasdan ang pagdidilim ng mukha ng matanda. 

"Whatever!" she waved her hand.

Kahit paulit ulit man nyang bubugbugin yong mga yon ay hinding hindi niya pagsisihan. She really hates someone who really think they could do anything because they're rich.

She could be mean sometimes but despite her status, Sophia did not hurt anyone not unless someone dares to provoked her first.

"Send me to Mr. Ybañez!"

"What?" 

gulat na gulat na bulalas ng matandang Madrigal. 

"What did you just said?"

"If you send me to him, I'll promise to change—"

"Forget about it!" 

The old man snap. 

"You're not going anywhere!"

"You're so selfish Lo'. You didn't realized at all? He's also a part of me, it's unfair to him. I just want to know him!"

Saglit na natigil ang matanda at tila ba nasaktan ito sa kanyang sinabe pero wala syang planong bawiin ang mga yon.

"Send me to him and I promised!"

She asked sincerely.

"If I could not keep my promise then you can do whatever you want, send me abroad for hell I care!"

"Really?"

 Don. Sebatian asked her sardonically. 

"Fine!" 

Bigla nalang umaliwalas ang kanyang mukha.

 "What do you mean?"

"Do as you wish!" 

he said while waving his hands. 

"Get ready, I'm sending you off today, before I change my mind!"

Muli syang napabuntung hininga ng maalala ang abuelo, she might regret coming in this place later, but before that she'll try her best not to cause anymore trouble.

"Sana walang mga asungot dito!"

She murmured 

Sophie was slowly walking towards the school gate when bunch of students were rushing, She stops one of them.

"What happened?"

The girl was rather shocked, tiningnan sya nito mula ulo hanggang paa.

"Ah. .transferee ka?"

Sophie nodded confusedly.

"Hurry up, lahat ng late comers ay mapaparusahan!" 

She doesn't know why pero nakikitakbo narin sya.

"What will be the punishment?"

"Community service in the weekend!"

Pagkarinig na pagkarinig nya sa sagot nito bigla nalang syang kumaripas ng takbo habang hila-hila ang naturang studyante na nakasabay nya.

"I think this school will be fun and interesting!" 

Anya ng makapasok sya sa loob ng paaralan before the gate was closed. Natatawa sya habang hiningal sa pagtakbo.

It was the longest run she ever had, in her previous school nobody cares kahit anong uras kapa dumating. That's the difference between public schools and private school.

"Mauna na ako twelve grader will be having SAMT early in the morning kaya kung ako sayo bilisan mo na—"

"What? wait!"

Anya ng mapagtanto ang sinabi ng babae.

"What is SAMT?"

"SAMT stands for Students Advance Military training! every morning you guys will going to have a morning drill"

"Oh fuck it!"

Mahina nyang mura, napalingon syang bigla sa nakasaradong gate ng paaralan. Parang gusto niyang magsisi sa naging disisyon nya.

"So much for public school and you got what you deserved!"

parang gusto nyang sabunutan ang sarili sa sobrang inis, bagamat tinakbo parin ang lugar kung saan gaganapin ang morning drill.
