Bath time

Professor Zhang came back out after a couple of minutes and headed upstairs to start a bath. Once he did that, he decidedly patted Ying Mi awake. Ying Mi rubbed her tired eyes and look at him blankly.

"You still need to take a bath and wash up before bed." Professor Zhang urged her.

Ying Mi nodded and was carried by Professor Zhang to the bathroom.

"Did you need any help washing up or can you take a bath alone?" He asked awkwardly.

"I can do it." She reassured him and watched as he closed the door before approaching the bathtub.

"It's warm." She said with a smile.

She removed her clothes and entered the bathtub gingerly. After soaking in the warmth, she began cleaning herself, not even flinching at the sight of her own body marred with countless scars.

Once she finished washing herself, she quickly unplugged the plug to let the water out and rinsed herself off before drying herself off. She saw that there was a baby branded face wash and toothpaste and sighed before using it to wash her own face and brush her teeth. Once everything was done, she opened the freshly bought pyjamas and underwear that wasn't even out of its package.

After cleaning everything up, she opened the door. The professor awkwardly smiled.

"I didn't know if everything fit. It still looks a little big. We'll go buy new clothes tomorrow for you. For now, you can sleep in the guest room next to mine." He said as he brought her to the guest bedroom she first awakened in. From the large queen sized bed to the size of the bedroom, it could be said that the Professor is an wealthy man.

She noticed it already. But perhaps now she realised that she would be living here, even if it was for the winter it finally struck her.

"Professor. What do you do for a living?" She asked.

"I dabble in a bit of everything. Why do you ask?" He asked with a sparkle in his eyes.

Ying Mi didn't notice it because she was still admiring the bedroom.

"It's just. Professor must be very wealthy to live this well." She stated.

"You could live like this too when you grow up." Professor Zhang said as he picked up a book from the shelf.

"Can you teach me? I want to be like you one day." Ying Mi asked him, unable to see his expression with his back towards her.

Professor Zhang turned towards her after he grabbed the book he had left earlier in here, with an somewhat troubled expression.

"I can. But...the work I'm doing...it's a bit hard to teach you."

"I am a quick learner." She stated, looking at him.

"It's not a matter of quick learning. I can teach you to become an professional in any field. Regardless if you want to become a doctor or an musician. But my profession is not as respectable as what you think." Professor Zhang honestly confessed.

At this. Ying Mi hesitated. This was enough of a response for him.

"It's getting late now. We still have a full day ahead tomorrow. Goodnight." He said as he left her room.

'What does Professor Zhang actually do for a living?'
