Isaac entered his cottage closing the door behind him, he then headed towards the bathroom. He poured some clean water into a basin and used a fresh cloth to clean his face. He looked in the mirror at himself all while however, he did see his face in the reflection he saw hers. Skye was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, she had been that way since they first meet when they were just children.
Skye was always by herself, none of the other elven children wanted to play with her on account of her ears. Her ears were small and round like a mortal's more specifically like a human's ear. Due to the shape of her ears, she was different from the other children. So in return, they did what children always do when someone is different. They tormented her and bullied her, it didn't matter that she was their princess. She was not like then so she must be wrong. At least that was what the believed.
Skye's childhood was not one to be envied at least that was the case until Isaac met her. The second he laid eyes on her he knew that she was the most beautiful person in the world and that he loved her and always would. Isaac knew that even when she grew up that she would still be beautiful. When her light brown amber hair turned whiter than snow and her gentle face was covered in wrinkles that she would still be the most beautiful girl in the world. At least in his eyes, she would be.
It was her eyes that captured his heart and wouldn't release it, They were the kind of eyes that just drew you in and made you want to be near her. They were the brightest shade of emerald with warm flecks of gold, they can be soft and sweet but when she was angry they can cut you like daggers.
Isaac was in a daze as he continued thinking about her eyes as he brushed his shoulder-length white hair ensuring it was not tangled and was out of the way. He then got changed still thinking of Skye not really paying attention until he tripped over his table in his sitting room.
"Damn that hurt" Isaac grumbled as he rubbed his shin. "Oh crap I'm late" the elf shouted as he quickly put on his clothes and boots rushing out the door to meet the one whom his thoughts of made him late in the first place.
"I'm here..... I promise!" Isaac panted as he hunched over breathing out with big huffs. He ran from his home to hers in record time just barely making it.
"Took you long enough," said a sweet voice
Isaac looked up and for a moment forgot how to breathe. He saw Skye as she was closing the door to her cottage.
She was gorgeous, not that she wasn't every day in her regular clothes but right now she was wearing a dress as green as her eyes with golden trim and a golden crown. She was everything to him and seeing her like this just confirmed that. Isaac would do anything for his princess.
