Kakashi dragged Aya through the shortest route towards the Hokage building. His eye swayed back and forth. No civilians were around. He thrust Aya into an alleyway surrounded by darkness and walls.
"What happened? It has to be bad if you came straight to the village. Which I specifically told you not to do." He signed through his mask, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
His statement completely went over her head. Aya was confused. "Wait...Kakashi? You're Kakashi?!"
"So you don't remember me, huh." He cowered his shoulders.
"Well...you grew up, I guess." Aya couldn't help but blush until she realized the awkwardness setting in.
"I'm sorry, but can we hurry. I don't want anything to happen." Aya cupped her hands together.
"Yeah, let's go.
Both of them walked quickly towards the building in the distance until Kakashi's eye lit up.
"Ohhhhh Yeeaaaaahhhhh. By the way, the man in the mask has been me the whole time too." He said without hesitation.
Aya wasn't suprised. She signed and turned to him.
"It's good to see you again." She smiled.
Kakashi replied with a smiling eye.
"You too."
They approached the Hokage's office and Kakashi opened the door like it was his own home. Aya suddenly felt comfort and care. Like the gaze that met hers would forever have her trust.
Aya snapped back to reality and noticed Kakashi staring at her, motioning to at least step into the room. She embarrassed herself and quickly approached the wooden desk in front of her. She bowed a full ninety degrees.
"Lord Hokage, I know I'm from the Hidden Mist and should not be trusted, but I ask that you please consider citizenship of the Hidden Leaf to me and especially my son. He is one of the last remaining Uchiha. Actually never mind me. Even if you only allow safe passage to him, I will be happy." Aya faced the ground and pleaded.
She noticed a silence in the air and was about to continue her persuasion until the man behind the desk stood up. His face was a bit confused, sympathetic, and a tiny bit embarrassed. Aya lifted her face slightly at his sudden motion.
"Um...Ms. Aya, I'm not sure how the Mizukage runs things, but your formalities are unnecessary with me, please.
Aya lifted herself. Is this how other villages are? She thought.
"And about your current situation..."
Aya clenched her fist in anticipation. She had heard many terrifying stories of this man, but she was prepared to die for Kenji.
"Kakashi has kept me up to date actually. I'm not sure if he has told you that, but I fully support both of your transitions to our village. I've heard many things about you and we could definitely use your expertise."
Aya was speechless. Why was this guy so...nice?
"Wait.." Aya said. "Why are you...?" Her words fell off her tongue. She was still trying to process this conversation.
The Hokage said, "Well, before I say anything else, I want to thank you for saving Kakashi during that skirmish in the Third Great Ninja War way back then. I can't thank you enough actually." the Hokage lowered his head. "He has told me lots about you over the years and I trust you. I am Kakashi's sensei after all. If he trusts you, I trust you." He smiled and held his hand out.
"Just call me Minato. The Fourth Hokage at your service."
Aya shook his hand. "Nice to meet you."

Kenji and the kids raced across the open field and followed the plan. They didn't know the specs of the targets, so better to be safe than sorry. Kenji continued to race towards the tent as his teammates veered off onto different paths. They disappeared.
Kenji jumped in the air and fluctuated his chakra, dealing his hands signs in the process.
"Fire Style : Great Fireball Jutsu."
He increased the proximity of his favorite, mastered jutsu and watched it plummet into the tent. A giant crater formed, and in the depths of it, sat nothing but a tent. They weren't there. Kenji motioned for his teammates to appear. He became nervous. They didn't come. About three seconds after his signal, they flickered into position. Kenji questioned the hesitation, but it didn't matter. They were kind of in a situation here.
Two masked ninja shot from the earth and crossed swords with Hansuke. Kenji was quick to support his friend and unsheathed his black blade. In an instant he sliced across the arm of the closest threat, relieving Hansuke of pressure. That's when Kenji noticed something odd. These ninja were about the same height as him. The color of their hair felt familiar and the grunt sounded from his swipe was female. Once again, Kenji pleaded ignorance. If they were ordered to die, they had to have done something bad right? This was for the good of the village, right? Questions invaded Kenji's constant spiraling mind and sent him into a daze.
One of the rogue ninja charged forward and crossed weapons with Miki. She got to Kenji just in time.
"What are you doing?!?!" Miki screamed.
Kenji was even more confused. Miki never acted this way. The shy and timid girl he spent years with seemed to disappear. Kenji decided the mission comes first. If anything fishy is happening, it will have to wait. This mission is too important. No matter how bad he hated the past several years of his life, Kenji felt that graduating would somehow make it all worth it, like everything he worked for would lead up to that Anbu mask and tattoo.
"Sorry! Lets finish this!" Kenji sounded off with authority.
Asami and Miki transformed into swords as Hansuke and Kenji grasped them. Duel Swordsmen. Hansuke lead the attack and started off strong with a raging wave of water. The tide engulfed the two rogue ninja and swallowed them whole. Hansuke retreated as Kenji followed up with a small tap of lightning. Kenji sent the current traveling through. The water flickered with lights bouncing from its ripples. The faint cook of skin burned the two boy's noses.
Kenji and Hansuke charged. They didn't even need Formation B's full potential. This was kind of... easy. Kenji thought. The boys gritted their teeth and poked their own swords through the heart of their enemies. This was it. Their first kill. Blood oozed from the cracks in between their blades. The skin of the rogues was still smoking, black, and charred. Several patches of black and red oozed blood. Kenji's victim had a visible shoulder bone the burn was so severe. The boys were about to puke. Is this what it's like to kill somebody? Kenji thought. No longer was he the innocent boy who played outside by the water, his mom scolding him for bringing bugs in the house. He was a ninja. A soldier. A murderer. He instantly regretted his actions. And for good reason. For the masks of the two rogue ninja fell to the ground. Hansuke and Kenji stood side by side, sword in hand, driving them straight into the heart of their teammates, Miki and Asami.
