Are They Stupid?

"Get out of my way, you little trash!!" A level 4 Jade Palace Realm cultivator suddenly appeared from behind Wang Xue, brandishing a sword to him Wang Xue reacted by using his own Ice Steel Sword to parry, however, with the difference in strength Wang Xue was pushed back.

The force Wang Xue faced was immense and he was clearly overpowered, but he didn't panic rather, Wang Xue used the power difference for his own.

When his Ice Steel Sword met with its opposing weapon Wang Xue greatly focused his spirit energy to protect his internal organs, then, Bang!!* Wang Xue flew in the air as a cannonball fired from a cannon going towards the direction of the tornado created by the Autumn Iceroots.

The man who attacked Wang Xue saw this and immediately realized what just happened. Infuriated that he had been used like this by someone weaker than himself that man frantically circulated his spirit energy in order to catch up to him.

With his frantic acceleration, the others around him also did so, there were a great number of cultivators gathering at that particular place in order to get the Autumn Iceroots and the strongest of them all was a level 7 Jade Palace realm expert.

Wearing white clothing and having an embroidered sword on his chest and carrying a sword on his waist this man was one of the disciples of the Heavenly Sword Sect and he was not just some ordinary disciple but someone who had made a name for himself already in the past years.

A young genius who didn't participate in the Jade Province Competition in even once, he was known as the Clear Sword Zhou Yun. He had entered this place with his senior disciples, but when they entered the Serpent's Realm they were separated and he was sucked inside in this frozen realm to wander with the other disciple who was sucked in with him.

"An Autumn Iceroot, this will help me greatly and if I can cultivate it I might be able to break through the next level right after getting out of this place." He said with a happy smile on his face.

This frozen realm held many great treasures that even with his pure heart made him want to take them all for himself, however, with the myriad of people who entered the Serpent's Realm together with him, there were bound to be people who're much stronger than himself.

With the amount of time he had spent in here the only treasure that he was able to obtain was a Level 7 Jade palace realm category demonic core that he was able to kill earlier and a 200-years-old Ice that he stumbled upon by accident.

He was rather far from this place when he saw the tornado made of pure frost spirit energy and when he saw this spirit energy tornado and when that sweet aroma entered his nose Zhou Yun was able to suddenly remember an old text in the great library back in the Heavenly Sword Sect.

In that text he was able to remember how the Autumn Iceroot emerge from deep in the ground, at 100 years old the Autumn Ice root will release a bitter smell, at 200 years old it will release a spicy smell, at 300 until 400 years old it will be a stinky stench however the moment that it reached 500 years of age the fifth time it appears will be the time it will fully bloom and create a phenomenon such as this tornado.

The other part of the text was damaged to the point that it was unreadable however Zhou Yun already knew the key points of knowing what an Autumn Iceroot was.

Zhou Yun hurried and circulated his spirit energy to its top speed drastically increasing the speed of his movement. As he got closer to the tornado of spirit energy the more he felt the attract around, then he saw someone near him who was moving in high speed with a black sword suddenly stop on a tree branch and just looked forwards.

"Did he give up already?" He mused, seeing how weak his level of cultivation was Zhou Yun was actually surprised to see how he was still alive all this time and seeing him stop at this very moment made him think that he had given up on competing for the Autumn Iceroots.

"Less person the better." He got closer to the Autumn Iceroot and continued to increase his speed and when he finally he reached 50 meters away from the spirit energy tornado he noticed something weird was going on.

The closer that he got the more the attraction of the spirit energy became this was only natural, however when he reached the 50 meters mark Zhou Yun noticed that the attraction was way stronger and when he tried to stop going forward the attraction was still continuing to become stronger.

"What is this!?" He became frantic but he still tried keeping his cool, circulating his spirit energy he tried going back in order to avoid anything unexpected.

As he tried doing this he saw people still going forward and trying to run ahead than the others, he wanted to turn back and compete for the Autumn Iceroots but Zhou Yun chose to get away, he turns around and was about to retreat when he heard a sudden explosion happen from behind him.

Boom!!!

He turns around only to see the tornado dissipate into nothingness and the people who were 30 meters in radius were reduce to nothingness, the surrounding trees were also destroyed by this explosion and the many cultivators who were running forward all stopped on their tracks were frozen in fear.

The Autumn Iceroots floated above the air and released the sweet fragrance that it had immediately attracted the eyes of many, in the midst of this dead silence a man whose level of strength was already at level 6 of Jade Palace realm suddenly jumped up and tried taking the Autumn Iceroots for himself.

"I'll gladly take this away!" With a laugh, he moved with great speed and jumped up targeting the Autumn Iceroots that floated in the middle of the great devastating explosion earlier.

Everyone had fear in their hearts but seeing someone attempting to get such a great treasure made them override their fear with greed. All of them came for the treasure and people dying was nothing new in the Martial World

When the first person jumped up all of the other people who were previously frozen were suddenly wide awake and became energetic, everyone whose strength was higher than level 4 all jumped up and Zhou Yun was not different than them.

He was the strongest person in that place so he was able to quickly catch up with the other man who jumped first that the rest. As he did this Zhou Yun initiated his spirit energy to circulate faster and then he calls forth his Martial Spirit.

His speed suddenly became faster gaining the lead from the others. His eyes were fixed on the Autumn Iceroots and when he was only a few couples of meters away from it a sudden gust of cold wind appeared from behind and the other cultivators who jumped upwards.

"Wind? No this is spirit energy, sh*t don't tell me!" Zhou Yun became frantic the moment he noticed the spirit energy around started gathering once more, Zhou Yun hurriedly change his direction even forcibly changing the flow of his spirit energy just to try to get away.

However, it was already too late. The spirit energy around the air was already beginning to gather in the Autumn Iceroots, the second tornado of spirit energy was about to be formed at this moment and Zhou Yun who was closest of all was the first one to be caught in it and the moment that he did Zhou Yun met great tragedy as the spirit energy inside the tornado were so fierce and cold that it almost freeze him to death almost immediately.

The freezing spirit energy was fierce and Zhou Yun saw his clothes freezing with his own eyes, he attempted to get away from that place by firing out Martial skills but he was met with failure, the more he used his spirit energy the more exhausted he became and the more his body became vulnerable to his surroundings.

His body began to freeze from the inside resulting for him to feel extreme pain, while he was being frozen in the inside of his skin became brittle and while he was spinning inside the tornado of spirit energy he suddenly hit with someone else and his skin was crack and fell apart showing his veins and muscle and his drops of blood to crystallize when they spurted out.

Zhou Yun was not the only person who suffered this kind of tragic end, as the people who were also caught up with the second appearance of the tornado also experienced the same thing all of them had their body slowly become a frozen statue and their meridians all freeze and their skin cracking up.

Wang Xue watched the second appearance of the tornado from a considerably far place 200 meters away from him was the tornado that seems to be bigger than the previous one. Watching the many people die inside the tornado made Wang Xue laugh and think why there were so many people who failed to know there was a second burst of spirit energy tornado.

He had stopped mid-way in order to safely get away from the first explosion and the second appearance of the spirit energy tornado, Wang Xue expected the others to do so as well, however, seeing them dying like this made him think just how much basic information is there in the Jade Province.

He had seen many stupid moves in the Jade Province like how they treated the Fiery Ice Flower for some weak material for forging a spirit weapon when it could be used for so much more than that.

Wang Xue stood up after watching the tornado was about to end, he planted his feet on the tree branches and stabbed the Ice Steel Sword on the tree and tried to hold on, "Well how many will die on this one?"

Wang Xue said lightly as he readied himself for the third phenomenon to appear.

The explosion happens to cleanse the Autumn Iceroots and the spirit energy around this is the process of the first tornado, however, when the second tornado finished collecting enough spirit energy the Autumn Iceroot will finally show its true form.
