The result of the test took longer than expected, and once it finally came out, the devastating truth was enough to leave Mu Jianyu breathless. As he held the test result in his hand, he wasn't even aware of how his whole body trembled with rage the more he stared at it. 

Three days after Lin Meirong gave birth, she signed away her rights and let him take custody of her daughter. Mu Jianyu had no idea where she was and where she went, but right now, he was itching to strangle her to death for her impertinence. 

How dare she? After all that he'd done and gave up for her, she dared to trick him?! 

The baby in the crib wailed, attempting to get his attention. She probably woke up from her nap, in need of another round of feeding, unaware of her biological mother abandoning her to her former lover.
