Deal!

The lunch rush was no joke to the little visitor, for Lia saw many students crowd the cafeteria for this exclusive dessert.

Also, Lucky Treat is no joke as well, for it tasted delicious.

Lia had nothing but positive sentiments from the school. It appears that she also made a few good acquaintances even without before joining. Everything got her thrilled. All that's left is to inform her mother and Mrs. Beth about her happy decision.

When Lia returned to Mrs. Beth's office, hopping all her way back after bidding farewell to the Lucky Treats gang, as she named them following their encounter, she noticed the two ladies indulge in their afternoon tea break. Lia rejoiced and kept her bright smile as she entered.

"What happened, Lia? Did you enjoy your little tour around the school?" Giselle asked immediately.

Lia hesitated to admit her short adventure with the kids and observed that the vice-principal is also present in the room. She silenced her lips from refusing to reveal about the girls she met and of the treat she shared with them a few minutes ago. Instead, she chose to address her interest in mother and Mrs. Beth drinking tea with biscuits, leaving her behind.

Lia noted to express herself clearly to her mother later when the circumstance allows her to do so. The little one waited impatiently till the time she could spend with Giselle sooner to discourse her surprise excursion with other little girls.

Not paying too much into her diversion, the vice-principal focused on asking one question.

"So, dear, do you want to study here," she asked curiously.

Lia glanced at her mother, and a few seconds later, she beamed to give her reply.

"Yes, I do."

..

Giselle's face glistened as she heard Lia. The happiness didn't abandon Mrs. Beth as well. She asked Lia to take her seat next to her mother and got offered biscuits to commemorate the good news.

..

For the next few minutes, Mrs. Beth explained all the details about the application process, fees payment, schedule, etc. Giselle listened to them attentively and often took down notes for some important dates and information. Later, Mrs. Beth handed out the application form to Giselle and asked her to fill it. Giselle spent the next few minutes filling up the application form. She often asked doubts and clarified some of the fields. Mrs. Beth helped her patiently. All this time, Lia paid attention to every single thing her mother did. She didn't disturb her but carefully watched her completing the form and listened to everything Mrs. Beth talked about the school. By the end of the lunch hour, Giselle finished all of the paperwork and waited for confirmation. Mrs. Beth speeded up the process and worked quickly to give Lia a starting date.

"Here you go, I did everything. It's official. Lia will be a student here at Edward Harris Elementary school. And you will be joining on Wednesday." Mrs. Beth revealed.

"Wednesday! That's the day after tomorrow!" Giselle thundered.

Her main concern was Lia starting her school without wasting any time, but this is too soon, to be honest.

Seeing her panic, Mrs. Beth assured on assisting her.

Giselle, having no luxury to explore for more schools, agreed to co-operate and make it happen.

After their work got over, Giselle and Lia decided to leave. Mrs. Beth requested them to have lunch together since they skipped it for the process. Giselle declined it politely. She had a lot on her hands right now. And Giselle doesn't want to waste a minute.

She thanked Mrs. Beth for everything and left the place. Later on their way back home, Giselle bought lunch for both of them. They both returned home, had their lunch, and Lia went to her room. Giselle prepared the list of things Lia might need for her school. In between her work, She texted Ethan Ruz, Lia's father, about Lia's new school. Immediately after a minute or so, Giselle received a text. A reply from Lia's father, Ethan.

Ethan Ruz- 4:03 PM

Congratulations to my dear princess, Lia. If it isn't her super mother, Giselle, who worked hard for it. Thank you for the update. As much as I wish to board a plane right now to see you two, I don't have the luxury to do so. My deadline is keeping me awake. Anyway, I am proud of our baby girl. Giselle, I would like to talk to Lia before she goes to school. Kindly make sure that you ladies spare some time for me. I don't want to miss greeting Lia on her first day. Please convey my heartily wishes to our child. Take care, both of you. Talk to you soon.

Giselle smiled from reading such a reassuring message from Lia's father. She left to visit Lia, who seem to be ignoring the appearance of her mother and focused on renovating the room to her taste.

Unbothered, unattended, and unnoticed- Giselle felt receiving a harsh treatment. She got triggered by the snub.

'How dare she avoid my presence?' Giselle jokingly hissed.

To wanted interrupt this little girl, Giselle slowly moved to Lia from behind, and with a single swift, she hugged to lift her higher.

"Mama, stop it. You are not allowed to do these stunts. You are not strong enough to lift me," startled Lia cried.

Giselle's nerves tapped, having her daughter tease her, and her brows twitched, for the teasing trait Lia inherited from her father.

Nonetheless, it became real that Giselle couldn't continue the game anymore. She brought Lia down, and the two cuddled on the floor.

Lia smiled from the short fun.

"You spoke to father, didn't you?" Lia guessed.

Giselle's eyes grew from the correct guess. Meanwhile, Lia, having seen this act repeat at times when her father makes contact, already knew the reason for the sudden burst of bold affection her mother displayed.

"Yes, your father called. He asked me to congratulate you on finding your new school," Giselle shared.

Lia listened to every word attentively.

"Then, what did he say then?" Lia eagerly asked.

Giselle chuckled to see this same enthusiasm in her daughter's face every time at the mention of her father.

"He wants to talk to you before you go to the new school, and he asked me to take few pictures," Giselle said.

Lia jumped from excitement.

..

"When- When- will father call?" Lia hardly kept her composed self and kept throwing a sweet tantrum to know more about the call and the beloved caller.

Giselle explained it all by saying that Lia's father is busy right now and that he would call soon at his leisure to talk wholeheartedly.

Having an assured response, Lia appeared in high spirits.

"Well. Well. Well. It is time for my hero to commemorate me for my graduation and lend his powers and blessings to his only disciple."

Lia's words startled her mother to reminisce about a well-known symptom of the conversation-style that Lia does with her father.

Ethan taught superhero plays to Lia at her toddler stage, and though Giselle never really hated it, she doesn't show much interest in being an audience to their little act.

Lia's creative visions were also encouraged by Ethan's influence on heroes and villains. Whenever they meet, the two would go on to create their personal versions of superheroes with weird quirks, enjoying, playing, and bonding heartedly.

"Your father didn't call yet, so keep your marvel adventures to yourself, little lady. Let me leave now," Giselle grumbled undertone.

Lia burst out laughing.

"You weaklings have no right to stand in the presence of my great hero, Ethan Ruz," Lia bragged with a champion stance that she used to display often while playing hero games.

Having called as a weakling, Giselle did not stay put and playfully bickered with her eight-year-old child.

By the time the sky turned dark and the night approached, Giselle and Lia went out to shop things required for Lia's school and also ingredients for tonight's dinner.
